Indian scribe irritates White House Press Secy

An Indian journalist, who runs a local publication India Globe in Washington, has been snubbed by the White House for asking questions related to Musharraf, Pakistan's leading paper Daily Times reported.

Raghubir Goyal irritated White House press secretary Tony Snow by claiming that "many people in Pakistan believe" that the terrorist attacks on Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's life were a "creation to get US sympathy and money".

Further, maintaining that the Pakistani leader had not helped the US, Goyal asked if President Bush still trusts the General.

Snow snapped back, "Goyal, you have just given a sermon against President Musharraf".

When the correspondent replied that he was "not against him (Musharraf)", Snow dismissed it by saying, "Yes, it is".

Goyal next claimed that Musharraf is "my friend" and "I know him personally", to which Snow's reaction was, "Let me put it this way: I can't respond - you've now concocted a theory where there are fake attacks on him, and I can't help you out".

Goyal is known for asking uncomfortable questions at regular briefings in the White House and the US State Department briefings.

In my personal experience, when India offical talk on media, they intentionally drag Pakistan. My recent experience listening radio programme about US govt restrict entry of Indian Gujrat chief minister . In that radio programme, i listen exterme hate of indian audience against Pakistan. It was shocking for me.

Programme was totally about govt of US unfair treatment with Mudi. Cuz he got very bad name after gujrat incident. And large gujrati community in US were expecting his visit. But anyway guy who who was inverviewing the participants, raise the question about massacre in gujrat, audience all of sudden starting talking about Musharraf, that he is root cause of terrorism in India. Its Pakistani who are responsible of gujrat incident , that was non-stop but totally anti Pakistan rehortric. So many time interviewer disrupt the guys and ask them, we are talking about India not Pakistan. Its your internal issue, but that Gujrati guy was nonstop.
Anyway all five fingers are not same..

This gives us reasons as to why we should not be liking india. And this is not about just one person. Most Pakistanis that visit india tell us their story about nearly all the indians having bias about Pakistan and have very little hospitality. Whereas when Indians visit Pakistan, they tend to tell a totally different story. I have to credit the indian government for creating all the lies and feeding it to their population, which they freely eat.

But thats how it is. Whenever you try to be friends with them, they will stab you in the back. People, including both indians and Pakistanis, tell us that indians and Pakistanis are both same people. They are not actually. We are actually a lot more hospitale and welcoming than indians. Its just the impression we're given by the media which makes things so much harder.

When the hell has Pakistan wanted to be friends with India? If they try to be friends, that means its a precursor to another Kargil.

Its because of the war's that Pakistan has started not some shitty propaganda. The IA cannot start any propaganda dude, its not a political organistation, its not even free to hold press conferences without some level of clearence from the current govt. Only the govt can do it.

And again tbh, when Indians visited Pakistan, the level of hospitality they got is one of the MAJOR ice breaking points for Indians. That more than anything else has warmed Indians to Pakistani's more than any other thing. The first hand experiences of the courtesy shown in Pakistan. That was a MAJOR thing here.

I challenge you on ANY war started by India. In 71, Pakistan anticipated that India was going to intervene, rightly so, but they decided to launch a pre-emptove strike, thus PAF was sent over with the aim of reproducing the sucess of the Israeli campaign in the 6 day war. Thus Pakistan launched an attack FIRST. The air strike had VERY limited success, most of the IAF planes were in hardened hangars, etc, IAF started their sorties against PAF after a couple of hours the very same day.

In 65, again it was Pakistan that launched the war. India has NEVER initiated a war against Pakistan.

Talk about current times, Pakistan did Kargil. That was when the Indian PM was in Lahore for peace measures, the planning for Kargil was going on. Then there is the SMALL issue of Pakistan training and outfiting terrorist groups to act in India. Its ridiculous, how do you expect India to NOT be equally hostile? Now the two countries are rivals right? So obviously if India has the slightest bit of clout, it will try and malign Pakistan everywhere. Its a basic concept. The day hostilities cease to exist b/w the two, this would also stop.

And i wold say that its not just India, but Pakistan itself that causes the bad rep in the international world. From AQ Khan affairs, to supporting and training global terrorism, training taliban, harbouring taliban. They ALL add much more to the table than what India possibly could.

A huge mistrust has been built in hearts of Pak armed forces. Its all because of Indian govt backing up Bangaldeshi insurgent, trained them in India and later a totall invasion of Indian army on East Pakistan soil. Situation would be totally different if India never mobilized its army in East Pakistan. And let situation be handled by Pakistani or Bengali.
Even though Bangladesh is separate land and i personaly happy for it, cuz now Indian are facing a huge migration of Bangalies from Bangladesh, reason is shortage of land and resources. And i hope indian will absorb this a huge human migration. UN report in not favorable for Bengal in next few decades anyway. Humantarian crisis.
