Indian officials claim capture of another 'spy pigeon from Pakistan' in IoK

Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) claimed on Monday to have captured another "Pakistani spy pigeon" and handed it over to police in Indian occupied Kashmir, NDTV reported.

The pigeon, "with a prominent pink patch and a tag on its leg", was logged at the police station as a "suspected Pakistani spy", said NDTV.

The report said that the pigeon is being suspected of being part of an "espionage attempt from Pakistan" and that an investigation has been launched into the matter.

According to the report, police records show that the pigeon flew into the house of a woman in Chadwal area, who caught it and handed it over to the BSF. The latter then handed it over to the police for further investigation.

Police quoted the woman as saying that the pigeon had a ring round its foot that had numbers inscribed on it.

This is not the first time a pigeon has been accused of spying on India for Pakistan. In 2015, a pigeon was captured by Indian forces for crossing the Indo-Pak border into India's Pathankot area.

sir they gamble buffalo cow on a pigeon i see huge amount of gambling on pigeon race or if pigeon will return or not . they take pigeons go dozens of KMs away and leave them from there so if its returned owner win if not owner loss . people trust their pigeons more then their sons here


i still remmebr an eye witnessed story .


some 30 years ago i say people gathered at a tea stall in my village .i join that gathering and see a kid aged 10-12 sitting in middle a rich man and and kids father pressurizing him to give away the pigeon of rich man . but kid is saying no i will not give the pigeon i catched and want it to be with me . by starting 5000PKR rich man went to 40000pkr for his pegon back but the kid said if someone take my pigeon from me i will suicide in river
rich man offer a buffalo . but kid refused it. his father convincing him we are very poor a buffalo or 40000pkr can change our life but poor kids did not agree

finally after 3 days kid agreed to return the pigeon in exchange of money .

the rich man took his pigeon and killed the pigeon on the spot as revenge . he said if this can loss me here this traitor pigeon will loss my in big gamble one day .


now can you imagine the craze????? in pakistan if pigeon fly and sit on you home and you catch it yours no moral ground to ask back .universal law of kabootarbaazs

How does ISI not think these operations through? Stop sending these Urdu speaking pigeons...they stand out and end up getting arrested. The pigeons need to be trained to speak the local language where they are being sent...and issued Indian passport and currency.
