Christine Fair – an expert on South Asian political and military – has ruled out the possibility that India had shot down a Pakistani F-16 in February this year.

Fair, a professor of security studies at Georgetown University, U.S., stirred up a heated debate while speaking at a session on “Understanding the message of Balakot” alongside former Air Chief BS Dhanoa and other Indian experts at the Military Literature Festival in Chandigarh on Saturday.

She stated that the Indian Air Force (IAF) story of the operation and its aftermath was based on ‘Fake’ claims, and disputed the debris used as evidence to back claims of the F-16 being shot down.

She said the Pakistan aircraft did not have GE engines

She went on to assert that she did not believe India shot down an F-16 fighter during the dogfight between Indian and Pakistani jets

Fair, whose work on Pakistan is frequently cited by the Indian side, took on former air chief BS Dhanoa, stating that the IAF was not based on an empirical body of facts but dictated more by “things deployed by politicians to win elections".

‘India has lost credibility’

Amidst some interruptions from the audience – comprising mostly retired and serving defence officers – Fair went on to allege that the video of the purported F-16 going down in Pakistani territory and Punjabi speaking villagers talking about a pilot having crashed there, shared extensively on social media, was “fake”. She maintained that “India has lost a lot of credibility in the ways that certain images have been deployed through social media that do not show what they show, with the level of certainty that is asserted.”

Fair also questioned India’s claim of extensive damage to what it said the “terror camp” in Balakot based on images from open sources, saying that from an international point of view, these have not been accepted. “They are refuted by many scholars who are actually India’s friends.”

She said the immediate analyses using satellite imagery done by independent experts “does not show the damage which we have been presented with”.

She is a little piece of S@te.....

Take her with pinch of salt since she is working for many organisations including CIA / Mossad as well...

They are deliberately invoking India to take revenge.....so India did some similar act what they did with Atlantic airplane...

. .
Thin skin...

Are you kidding me. Look at her!

She has more layers on her than a f#*kin' Sea Lion.

The proof is in the pudding... that reaction is unwarranted. You come to some one's house and call them liars and don't expect condescending/snarky remarks, them my friend you gonna get played and shoot your own credibility.

Actually this just an excerpt from the whole seminar or whatever the heck that was. Here's the full video and my two cents on her;

Here's the Wiki on her;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C._Christine_Fair

She actually wrote a scathing book about Pak Army and is very critical to its roles both domestically and regionally, especially supporting proxy militants ;

Book has decent reviews. I just got the Kindle version of it and will share my thoughts when I'm done with it.
In the meantime, you can form your own mind by watching this;

https://books.google.com/books/abou...ml?id=jjaTAwAAQBAJ&source=kp_book_description (snooze fest...) does have splashes of truth albeit misconstrue, however, I do appreciate her analysis on Pak Army psychology.

She lost my respect when she lashed out at the belligerent Brigade Major, for just asking a question. As a published author and "expert in South Asia", you should know what is expected of you and how you should respond to critics.

She got my attention when she started and I listened to what she had to say and how she did that. Matter of fact, I liked the way she discredits the panel, but with that tantrum in the end, she lost my respect.

Again, super thin skin......!

you might need validation but seeing indian lies debunked by even the most fervent anti-Pakistan “experts” helps illustrate how wild Indian claims are. It serves a purpose.

An empty vessel noises much!

I'm not even surprised that they brought up the pics of all four missiles recovered and displayed for the whole wide world to see, its nothing but massaging their bruised and battered own ego by claiming, "WE SHOT ONE Of THEIRS TOO"....

That behaviour in the video makes me question the academic credibility of the institution she represents. indeed a cretin.
