I can understand your concern, those are legitimate but over exaggerated.
In the world of diplomacy, its very much required that you make neighbours of your prospective rival as friends. China tries to do same with Indian neighbours, USA does same with russian and chinese neighbour. It is in that context that its must for India to gain good grounds with Pakistan neighbours so that when required we can use them to pressurize Pakistan. Secondly its been known that Pakistan in past has raised terrorists organisation in afganisthan on the name of jihad and now the same has gone out of control and is not only causing damage to pakistan but similarly they are potential danger to India. Hence to keep a check on them as well as to build a friendly image of India in Afganistan so that the hate towards pakistan doesnot spread towards India, its must that we do constructive work.


For this please contact your all weather friend China, it has better relation access to powerhouse inside burma to control this, as of now India doesnt have that deep relations, we are working on building the relations with Burma and hopefully might be able to help in resolving Rohingyas issues.



Unlike the pakistan thought process, we have a bigger threat on northern borders called China, which is nuclear state, much more powerfull and bigger than us and in order to safequard ourselves against them it was essential to have nuclear backup. India has moved way ahead in terms of building up its arm forces with keeping in pakistan in mind, we are more concern about meeting the challenges posed by china. As we know if we can build ourself to defend against china, then we are much more than capable to handle pakistan.

I am not sure which version of Shimla Agreement you read. Just quoting you the second point of the agreement

(ii) That the two countries are resolved to settle their differences by peaceful means through bilateral negotiations or by any other peaceful means mutually agreed upon between them. Pending the final settlement of any of the problems between the two countries, neither side shall unilaterally alter the situation and both shall prevent the organization, assistance or encouragement of any acts detrimental to the maintenance of peaceful and harmonious relations;

Pakistan has proved again it cannot be trusted even on the written agreements which was signed by their own PM. Their government or even NSA does not honor the international agreement. It has given India enough reason to rethink on all the agreements signed with Paksitan, as Pakistan can backtrack on these agreements on any time. There is time to not consider the siachin, sir creek, canal, etc etc with Pakistan. Lets stick to two point agenda. Terrorism in all from erupting out of Pakistan and damaging India;s interest (including embassies attacks in Afghanistan) and bringing peace in the region. If pakistan is willing to work on these two points along with India then only talks should happen..
