KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy has delivered medical assistance to an Indian boat which had developed engine problems eight days back and was lost at sea, according to reports.

A press release issued by the navy in this regard details that PNS Alamgir delivered assistance to Indian fishermen travelling in ST Mars. The fishermen were close to running out of food and water after their boat developed engine problems eight days back. Despite repeated appeals, no Indian boat had come to their rescue.

The Pakistani vessel rushed to the aid of the 12 Indian fishermen aboard ST Mars on humanitarian grounds as soon as they got news of the incident. The Pakistani Navy delivered food, medical supplies and also helped the fishermen repair the boat, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Navy confirmed.

The fishermen thanked the Pakistan Navy for their help, and in a heart-warming gesture, joined the Pakistan Navy in raising slogans of ‘Long live Pakistan’ with utmost gusto.

The spokesperson for Pakistan Navy noted that the naval forces of the country had always been at the forefront of relief and rescue operations at sea.

“In addition to protecting the borders, naval forces have always been at the forefront of relief and rescue operations. This rescue mission also highlights that Pakistan wants peace in the region,” the spokesperson reaffirmed in a statement to the media.

It's worth noting that the Indian fishing boat, S T Maris was adrift in open seas for 8 days, so it wasn't in Pakistan's territorial waters......where was the so called Blue Water Indian navy.

If they were adrift in open seas for 8 days, it should be pretty obvious they were in pakistani waters where Indian Navy cannot enter without the risk of starting a war.

In fact, I would suspect that the PN waited for a few days just out of spite before rescuing them on the 9th day.

Oh yea, 9th day just happened to be an SOS day on calendar.
Did you even see the report, they were in open seas, repeatedly asked for help from Indian Navy but no help arrived so PN went to assist them.

Like I said, if they repeatedly asked for help for IN and IN did not come, it was clearly because they were in pakistani waters and Indian Navy ships CANNOT enter pakistani waters without creating a diplomatic incident.

What IN would do is request the PN to help in such cases. Which is why I suspect the PN waited a few days before they helped. I would be happy to be proved wrong.

Anyway, here is something for you to chew on.

Lol.......had they been in Pakistani waters to start with, they would have been towed in and arrested for poaching which happens from time to time.
As for your high horse claims, do i need to post a link on how a Pakistani saved Indians from Somali pirates.

F*cking stupid comment. Yes of course 8 is the magic number. PN waited for 8 days bcuz these fishermen were "enemies" and then on the 9th day they magically became "non enemies" hence the rescue.

You can't arrest them for poaching since they were ADRIFT in the water without an engine you moron. lol.

There are those with malice who take pleasure in the misery of other men. Especially those without any moral compass who use terrorist and terrorism as an instrument of state policy.

So yes, I would suspect PN took their own sweet time to "rescue" them. Nevertheless , a good deed is a good deed.

Listen you dumb a$$, even if one was to believe your nonsense, what was your navy doing for eight days or before the fishing boat entered Pakistani waters.....but the fact is the whole episode took place in international waters.....now swallow that.

IN and Coast Guard are especially active around the pakistani border and you can be pretty sure they would be listening to EVERY radio called that is made from that region.

After the 26/11 attack that came from the sea, both IN and Coast Guard have a specific mandate to keep their ears and eyes open for anything even remotely possible to another mischief from the seas.

So we can be pretty sure that the rescued boat would have been pretty close to the International borer and would have drifted into pakistani sea when their engined died on them. Right from day one.

Anyway its my last post on this topic.
