An Indian moviemaker has refused to attend the 62nd Filmfare awards over the nominations of Pakistani artists. Bollywood filmmaker who is a recipient of several 62nd Filmfare awards has taken the move as a show of protest and said that she will not attend any ceremony in which Pakistani artists are invited.

At least four Pakistani artists have been nominated for the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 due to held in Mumbai. Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan has been nominated in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) category for his role in Kapoor & Sons.

Two Pakistani singers have been nominated in the Best Playback Singer (Male) category. Atif Aslam for Tere Sang Yara (Rustom) and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for Jag Ghoomeya (Sultan). (QB) Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch has been nominated in the Best Playback Singer (Female) category for her song Kari Kari in Pink.

Its moronic. Atif Aslam is a bloody great vocalist, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan needs no introduction. Don't know anything about the lady though.

That movie maker should never go to any country as well where Pakistanis resides. These type of people plays a major role for damaging relations and shouldn't be given much coverage. No one but this genius realized that has to boycott however case seems like the person in subject wasn't nominated hence, all the grudge.

This is not view across all Indian people...Forget about Indian, even hard core right wing people like me, do not like the way, crazy people show hatred towards Pakistan artists...They are our guest and they deserve respect....We have difference with Pakistan in political level. We should never go down to a level where this person is doing now.
