Indian distributors confirm that ADHM will not release in Pakistan
Arts & Entertainment5 HOURS AGO BY WEB DESK
Fawad Khan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil might not see the light of day in Pakistan.
Putting an end to all speculations, Indian film trade analyst and critic, Taran Adarsh, took to Twitter to break the news that the Karan Johar film will not release in Pakistan.
He said, Fox Star, the distributor of ADHM, have confirmed to him that the Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer will not be screened in the cross-border cinemas.
Not only ADHM, but Ajay Devgn starrer Shivaay will also not hit the screens, as confirmed by its distributor Reliance Entertainment.
Earlier, Pakistani cinema owners planned to lift the ban on the screening of Bollywood films yesterday afternoon but later decided to delay it owing to the Quetta tragedy.
Pakistani exhibitors and Distributors Association Chairman Zoraiz Lashari said, “Our basic demand was a lift on the ban on Pakistani actors working in India and the Indian authorities have lifted that ban. Even Fawad Khan’s film is all set to be released in India on time, which is why even we are looking forward to a more positive outcome of this entire scenario.”
However, despite the ban on films featuring Pakistani artists, MNS gave green signal to ADHM, which is set to release in India on October 28.
