Muhammad shami has been more valuable player than wahab, because he delivers the result. He takes wicket.
You get rewards for wickets and consistency not for a single spell in 7-8 matches.

Its not about thrill. You get more thrilled by watching shahid afridi bat, but he very very rarely win you a match with bat. But you know more valuable has been saeed anwar, inzamamul haq, younis khan. These are the guys who used to trust pakistan to take to win. These were the reason pakistan used to win matches in that era, never shahid afridi with bat.

They are today rememberd for their record, and statistics. They are remembers becoz they converted those spells into wickets, won matches and made those stats look good. None of them is remembered for spells.

Having said that i will admit wahab riaz is a good prospect and have a good future ahead, if thats what you want to hear from me.

Comparison with shami never came up until and unless this thread was made by OP asking why indians are mum and accused of being small hearted and all.

the opening comment is an observation , indian cricketers like Gavaskar did comment on Pakistan in the earlier matches but they have remained mum on this performance where people like Ian Chapel , Brian Lara and many others praised the performance

Disagree that there small hearted , they just dont get fast bowling never have never will . It's because there greatest medium/fast paced bowlers wouldn't even make it into any of our teams there that rubbish .
How can they praise something they've no clue about ,Notice that the bengalis are the same as they've never had no top fast bowler ever either & no praise for Wahab from them .

Compare it to the English,Australian South African ,New Zealand,West Indians gushing at one of the greatest world cup bowling performances ever in the history of the World Cup ,
