Indian Cities to See Fastest Growth in Asia Over Five Years

Which implies one thing - that India will continue to widen

If you look at the GDP growth figure of Pakistan this year which was 5.28% and next year projection of 5.80%, Pakistan is actually closing the gap, and in coming year it will be ahead of the curve with the maturity of many big projects in power sector and infra....not just talking about much hyped CPEC.

Just to add economists/IMF/Bloomberg are predicting a 2.5% being added to the current GDP due to huge investment in CPEC projects and with a lot of value addition, so brace up for a 7% plus growth for Pakistan in years to come.

And if you look at Indian growth rates, they are about to touch 8% by the end of fiscal year 2019. Unfortunately the kind of reforms we are undertaking now - are cutting to the bone in terms of near term disruptions. A fundamental shift is happening in the Indian economy.

But leave that aside Sir. Even if we consider Indian growth rates to stay the same as they are now while Pakistan growth rates increase to lets say 5.8%. Even if we accept the above, India is still continuing to increase the gap between India and Pakistan. What Pakistan is managing to do now is reduce the increase of lead as opposed to reducing the lead.

Till the time, Pakistan exceeds India in terms of annual growth rate, India's lead will widen.

.
This is because cities GDP nominal and GDP PPP has less difference as the PPP GDP is lower in cities. BTW the GDP of Tokyo nominal is equal to 2 trillion USD , that is GDP nominal, almost equal to all of India with a population of 1.35 billion versus a city of 30 million.
India rank in GDP per capita is 131 in the world....

How many cities in Delhi NCR, and BTW how many of then were 2 wheelers and 3 wheelers.

You can add your 2 wheeler and 3 wheeler as well and let's compare. If you want to compare cars then,Delhi is having 31,72,842 registered cars. What about total cars in karachi+lahore+islamabad ? India is having big population and reflect on GDP per capita. If GDP per capita is the criteria of a country and its power then finland should be a super power.

You seems to miss the added part, was in editing...

And in those years to come, India's growth rate is increasing as well. As I said, as long as Pakistan's growth rate does not exceed India's, the gap will keep increasing, not decreasing.

This is Karachi report of 2014....with more than 50% of bikes unregistered. Also huge rise in vehicles from 2014 onwards.
City’s traffic policemen too few to regulate over 3.5m vehicles daily

And in those years to come, India's growth rate is increasing as well

I am not talking about a lower growth rate for India, but a higher growth rate for Pakistan. It can surpass 7.5% GDP growth rate in coming years.

That's why i am telling there are 3.6 million vehicles in karachi and lahore will be much less and islamabad also very less and total will not add up to the total number of vehicles in Delhi

You also have to think that Delhi metro itself carrying 2.76 million people per day and so most of these people are not depending too much on their own vehicles except some. This is almost equivalent to near half of the population in lahore

.
less and total will not add up to the total number of vehicles in Delhi

One biggg reason, India has a population of 1.35 billion and Pakistan has a population of 200 million, just 15% of India population. Also big difference in daytime and night time traffic in Delhi in numbers. Instead of this if you look at the car ownership per 1000 people in India and Pakistan it is very similar. 6 cars per 1000 people, slightly old figure in both countries.

In other household items ownership like bikes, Fridges, washing machines per capita Pakistan is way ahead.....

But you are not comparing the quality of cars, bikes one owned as if you see on the roads, many cars in India are drive by variety of cars and modern brands unlike old brands in pakistan. These are the home grown automobile companies in India, where pakistan does not have that luxury.I never heard even a single brand from pakistan.

1. Tata
2. Mahindra
3. Ashok leyland
4. Bajaj
5. TVS
6. Eicher
7. Force
8. Hero
and tons of foreIgn brands like GMC,Volvo,Benz,BMW,Hyundia,Suzuki,Honda,Volkswagen .......and many have plants in India

India now overtook south korea as one of the largest automobile production countries in the world(5th)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_motor_vehicle_production

India surpasses China in passenger car exports

I was thinking someone will post that diagram.

You are talking about ownership percapita and showing the diagram for Durable ownership.

You see the motor vehicle per capita in India is 32. While that of Pakistan is 18. Even though the population of Pakistan is nearly 15%. The per capita difference is nearly 90%.

What south Korea exports in automobiles is all south Korea inventory, all products south Koreans including the OEMS...

What India exports in Automobiles are not Indian cars but automobiles made by say Ford USA in assembly plant in India and USA importing the say Ford Eco sport assembled in India, all the profit, inventory goes to the FORD USA, only a few jobs and a pittance to India.

Quite funny that what India includes in car exports is included in the total cars manufactured by say FORD and Hyndai of S.Korea.

Even the OEM's were all foreign franchise...they just uses the Indian labor and yes the land, car assemble needs about 10,000 parts to be joined and assembled together.

So cars made by Hyndai, FORD, Toyota, Nissan goes into the principal inventory, even if India keeps on blabbering that they are made in India.

ou see the motor vehicle per capita in India is 32

You can get the average looking at the car sales in India and Pakistan. In Pakistan car sales keeps on hovering around 240,000 to 285000 per year, including the local produced cars and imported ones, not the buses, trucks and 2,3 wheelers included but SUV's and CRV's added.

In India it keeps on moving from 17,00000 to 20,00000(that is 17 lacs to 20 lacs per year). Now that makes car sales in India about 6.5 to 7 times that of Pakistan and if you look at the population difference(India population at about 6.5 times that of Pakistan) the difference is negligible.

The point is vehicle per capita can be easily obtained from number of vehicles registered.

You said, there are a lot of unregistered vehicles. Which will not make up much.

Domestic car sales in India is at 3 million which is approx 11 times that of Pakistan and If you take the difference in population. Where it is 6 times Pakistan. That's a huge difference.

Check this thread started recently about motorcycle industry, car vending industries, other big corporations in Pakistan...still in developing stages.

Domestic car sales in India is at 3 million

In 2015 it was 2 million, what exactly is utility vehicle in India which is included in the 3 million cars sales this year.
