Indian boxer unconditionally apologizes for medal tantrum at Asian Games

As a sportsperson one need to accept both wins and losses in grace, What ever the circumstances, Thats what being mentally strong is all about. Especially at a multi national sporting event

Throwing hissy fits in open shows the person or where he/she comes from in bad light

Not insulting your countrymen but isnt it the same what Ranatunga did by boycotting a game when umpire banned muralidaran from bowling??

Nope not offended at all.. Does'nt matter where they come from it's equally wrong, We're at least bought up to think beyond nationalist glasses when it comes to condemn what needs to be condemned.. Ranatunga should have handled it outside the playing field just as this woman and just as should Sunil Gavaskar the original cry baby in annals of unsportsmanship

But i do find it hilarious when some Indian posters here drag in Pakistan, China, Sri Lanka or all of sundry that has absolutely nothing to do with the subject, When they run out of valid arguments, I find it a marked aspect of looser mentality quite akin to what this lady did

I did not putforeward that argument to drag any country here.. I am simply showing when you work hard for something and people deny your right because of favoritism, we will get frustrated.. The boxer is also human who spend most of her life in boxing ring and gymnasium..She is now 32 and it was most probably her last chance to win a gold and it was robbed from her.. She reacted as any human should do.. I am fully behind her on this.. She have my respect for showing her protest in public.. You were talking about sportsman spirit.. What sportman spirit did the judges had when they awarded this game to Korean when Sarita Devi punched black and blue out of her?? Did AIBA took any action against it??

.
Sarita Devi has made it clear that she apologized for the sake of other sportpersons.

I apologised because I did not want any other Indian boxer to suffer: Sarita Devi

The career of a sportsperson is short and they do not have the luxury of working till 60 to make their mark. To see your life's work go down the drain because of blatant bias and cheating would be insufferable. She is a winner, and will always be. To those that talk about 'sportmanship' a big LoL.. When you see a colleague at work take credit for your own work, please do show that legendary "sportsman spirit"..
