Indian arrested in Saudi Arabia for posting blasphemous image

That would be very harsh if they punish him in their usual way....... Poor guy clicked the like button and landed himself in trouble....

    He claims that he only "liked" the picture, but this would make it appear on his Facebook page while he was in Saudi Arabia, so that would meet the definition of blasphemy. It is unfortunate, and, as a Westerner, I find it sad and distasteful, but I recognize the right of KSA to enforce its laws as it sees fit, and if I was ever to visit KSA (which is unlikely), I would make sure I followed their laws and did not commit blasphemy.

    Facebook and Twitter are both now a big problem. It's true any wrong click can be big problem but we don't know what we did. Specially smartphones are a big prob problem because of touch screen and sometimes slow network just a click sometimes its shared a photo or anything but user doesn't know. Thats make a mistake. So I think 1st time mistake better forgive.

    Kingdom should not allow these Idol worshipers to even enter the country, They are Najus, they bring their Idols with them and carry them in their vehicles and wallets and have them in their homes and offices.     Firstly, I think he is lying because, never has facebook made anyone like a picture to view it. Secondly even if he did like to see the picture, he should have immediately un-liked it or deleted it.     Thru social media, it is someone trapped him to visit the page with normal photo at first and he clicked the page, later the page has been changed with blasphemous image of the Kaaba.

    Now-a-days, their is lot of new materials, you-tube, social media need to logging using Facebook Id. During pop-up it will show a normal picture of natural scenery or a pet animal, after we trapped by it, click it, will share it page in our social media homepage, and later operator the picture will be changed to publish his intention about a nude one, or political offense or religious offense.

    the accused must have been given a chance to errace or correct his pasted posts. such punishments should not be occurred if he should been given chance to errace or counter what he has previously posted...
    sometimes you need to like a posted image for you to read it later because you are too busy and you think it is interesting to read it later that's why you have to like it in order to be able to see and read later after work...
    at least the FB company should be blamed for not putting a choice to like it but not to share it...like it because you are interested to read it later..
    but FB once you liked it, it will also share it....FB should be blame 80%.

There are many Indians on this Forum who are very quick in drawing conclusions about other Indian ethnic groups and their patriotism.Just look at some of the comments that these bloody Tamil Muslims have made in the forum above.What do those members have to say now??

They can do anything they want and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them. But I hope they listen to his reason and believe him because that sounds like a truth, too much shit happens on the internet and click this and click that can get people in trouble. I dont think any Indian would do such a thing knowing well the consequences in the Kingdom and knowing they have balsphamy laws in India as well.

thats bad news really , saudi oil money has been creating problems in developing countries like india and pakistan which have a large muslim population. Can you give me the source of your information mate would like to go through it. (On oil depletion rate in SA , i made some searches on google after reading your post but couldn't find any info)

'Asma' bint Marwan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The story of bint Marwan and her death appears in the works of Ibn Ishaq and Ibn Sa'd, who included narrations regardless of their authenticity. According to the reports, her family viewed Muhammad and his followers as unwelcome interlopers in Medina. After the Muslim victory over the Quraysh in Mecca in 624 in the Battle of Badr a number of Muhammad's opponents were killed. She composed poems that publicly defamed the local tribesmen who converted to Islam and allied with Muhammad, and called for his death.[6] In her poems, she also ridiculed Medinians for obeying a chief not of their kin.[7] Ibn Ishaq mentions that bint Marwan also displayed disaffection after the Medinian Abu Afak was killed for inciting rebellion against Muhammad. The poem said: "do you expect good from (Muhammad) after the killing of your chiefs" and asked: "Is there no man of pride who would attack him by surprise/ And cut off the hopes of those who expect aught from him?" Upon hearing the poem, Muhammad then called for her death in turn, saying "Who will rid me of Marwan's daughter?" Umayr bin Adiy al-Khatmi, a blind man belonging to the same tribe as Asma’s husband (i.e., Banu Khatma) responded that he would. He crept into her room in the dark of night where she was sleeping with her five children, her infant child close to her bosom. Umayr removed the child from Asma's breast and killed her.[6]

dont pass on their hate you are equally responsible

. its like someone shot an arrow towards someone that fell short and someone picks it up and goes to its intended target and pinches him with it. (taken from a saying of a Central Asian sufi saint)

She composed poems that publicly defamed the local tribesmen who converted to Islam and allied with Muhammad, and called for his death.[6] In her poems, she also ridiculed Medinians for obeying a chief not of their kin.[7] Ibn Ishaq mentions that bint Marwan also displayed disaffection after the Medinian Abu Afak was killed for inciting rebellion against Muhammad. The poem said: "do you expect good from (Muhammad) after the killing of your chiefs" and asked: "Is there no man of pride who would attack him by surprise/ And cut off the hopes of those who expect aught from him?" Upon hearing the poem, Muhammad then called for her death in turn, saying "Who will rid me of Marwan's daughter?" Umayr bin Adiy al-Khatmi, a blind man belonging to the same tribe as Asma’s husband (i.e., Banu Khatma) responded that he would. He crept into her room in the dark of night where she was sleeping with her five children, her infant child close to her bosom. Umayr removed the child from Asma's breast and killed her.[6]

hehe.. you might not fight the exact truth because its a well guarded secret now. it the ultimate weapon of both Saudis and Iranians as a means to further their influence and continue to fan the proxy wars in our part of the world.


I saw that on the news many years (early 90s) ago a seismic survey and a coloured depiction of the remaining oil that is not extracted yet. the projection by the American company was that Kingdom has the resources for over 100 years.
