Indian Army Man Gives Himself Freedom at LOC

A soldier allegedly committed suicide with his service weapon at Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla on Tuesday, official sources said here.

Panic gripped when firing shot was heard from inside a bunker at the post. However, other troops also rushed towards the bunker and found Sepoy Devindrappa Gulgandi in a pool of blood. The injured soldier was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.

It was not immediately clear why soldier took this extreme step, they said, adding that police have registered a case and initiated proceedings.

My condolences to his family. Cant be easy serving in an army where you have a cast system. Lack of food, ammo, abusive officers and a nation that thinks they are first world but doesnt empathise withs its poor and weak.
