Srinagar: Reacting to the statement of Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat on the issue of “Human Shield”, Human Rights Watch Executive Director Keneth Roth on Monday tweeted saying Indian Army Chief shows ‘Criminal Leadership”.

“Indian army chief shows criminal leadership, backing as “innovative” troops’ use of Kashmir man as a human shield,” Human Rights Watch Executive Director Keneth Roth tweeted.

On Sunday the Indian army chief had termed the “infamous” act of strapping a Kashmiri to an army Jeep as “innovative” and said that commending the Army officer was to boost the morale of his army which is fighting a “dirty war” in Kashmir.

Bipin Rawat even went on saying that: “I wish these people, instead of throwing stones at us, were firing weapons at us. Then I would have been happy. Then I could do what I (want to do).

No India but Kashmiris fighting a dirty war: Er Rasheed

Condemning Indian Army Chief Gen. Bepin Rawat’s remarks that India is fighting a dirty war in Kashmir, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has said that it is not Indian Army but the common Kashmiris who are facing the dirtiest aggression from Indian state only for the reason that they are seeking right to self-determination.

In a statement Er. Rasheed reminded Gen. Bepin Rawat that Kashmiris never welcomed Indian Army to enter the state, as it was Maharaja whose conspiracy brought Indian Army in J&K just to supress the voice of masses. It would be in India’s own interest if Bepin Rawat and others would ask New Delhi not to waste its energy in J&K but agree to durable political settlement to the long pending dispute.

Er. Rasheed said “It is astonishing to see Bepin Rawat publically making a wish if Kashmiri youth could take up guns, rather taking stones in their hands. By saying so Gen. Rawat has unmasked the fact that Indian Army enjoys killing Kashmiris and is just in search of excuses to kill them. The statement not only speaks about the insecurity among Indian security agencies but also justifies anger on roads. How can Kashmiris be blamed to instigate a dirty war when more than one lac. Kashmiris have been killed, every locality has seen huge destruction and security forces get perks, privileges and promotions for killing them”. Er. Rasheed added that Bepin Rawat should not forget that J&K dispute is a political problem and he and his army are not fighting any trained armed army but the unarmed masses, whose conviction is much bigger than those threatening Kashmiris in New Delhi. .
Yes and we are proud of our chief if the west wants some real good lessons about criminal leadership they just have to look at what George.W.Bush or Tony Blair have done in Iraq

.
Criminal leadership??? Westerners should be the last people in earth to talk about criminal treatment :)
And yes the answer to the wretched tactics employed by stone pelters should be brutal retaliation because if you use India's resources you should think twice before committing any atrocities against her soldiers and the general public and in this case this is blatant terrorism so innovative measures are the need of the hour and the army chief is 100% in his stance :)
Jai Hind
Indian Army <3

As long as there is leadership...

Army chief has clearly stated, this is a dirty war and sometimes you have to take on the spot decisions.
I wonder what that executive Director would've done , had he been in similar situation.

.
human right :-)....desperately we need criminal leadership at this moment
that time has gone...rule is very clear before they will kill you ,you kill them

.
It would be nice if this guy also expresses his opinion on war on terror and Yemen.

India is oppressing its own people with military. This is no different than communist dictatorship of China. It's time for India to stop regarding itself as a democracy. It's a second hand colonializer and oppressor.

Sadists like to prey upon the weak "civilians" and boast about it.

Human rights and india in the same sentence

lol A country without any human right agency is talking about a pluralist democracy where minorities are thriving in all aspects of life. Muslim population is growing more in India than any other religion. In your country minorites are vanished.

Its not about dictatorship and army ruling in Pakistan but as any Baluch or Bengali or Pashtun or Sindhi about human rights.

.
Army should ensure that anyone who picks up arms against India, will be either given chance to give up or he will have to give up, if people think they are being oppressed, you are free to leave like NK people do....as simple as that

muslim population must be controlled sadvi is right. The hindu population in india is under a threat and rss must advance ghar wapsi it's the only way they can compete with the growing and thriving Pakistani hindus.

BTW In Pakistan anyone who is poor is a minority religion, race, cast don't matter.

Completely support the General in this statement, only wish Army should not have been involved. But if its involved, its blunt instrument it will hurt few, but will get work done.

Its time we use RAW or IB or MI to full extent, dirty war can be fought getting hands dirty.
