'Indian Army alive to internal situation in Pakistan'

Dharamsala: The Indian Army remains alive to the internal situation of Pakistan and suitably factors it into its preparations and plans, a senior official said here today on the occasion of Infantry Day.

"It is the internal matter of Pakistan. (But) as far as impact on the Indian Army and our tasks goes, we remain alive to the situation and suitably factor it into our preparations and plans," GOC Rising Star Corps Lt Gen AK Choudhry said.

He was responding to media queries after laying wreath at the war memorial here. Infantry Day is celebrated to mark the air landing of the First Battalion of Sikh Regiment at Srinagar.
