India to seek more info on insurgents from B’desh

An Indian delegation will seek cooperation from Bangladesh to collect more evidence on North East insurgents during the two-day home secretary level talks that begins in Bangladesh from Monday.

The delegation led by Home Secretary R K Singh will also have officers from the NIA, which arrested the insurgents, to gather more information and evidence under Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty. United National Liberation Front (UNLF) chairman R K Meghan was arrested along with 13 others on charges of waging war against the nation.

Apart from this, R K Singh is expected to take up with his Bangladeshi counterpart Manjur Hussain other key issues, including border fencing, enhancing cooperation in combating terrorism, update on repatriation of ULFA leader Anup Chetia and smuggling of contraband.

It is learnt that the much awaited extradition treaty to be signed between the two nations will take some time as it is with the ministry of external affairs to give a final shape.

This AL govt is dangerous to the existence of the country. AL govt is breaking the fundamental principles that a country is founded on by handing over ULFA leaders to India. How come this India comes to Bd to seek information on insurgents! There may not be any exclusive camps for ULFA training.

They are already back to the NE to fight their war against Indian occupation army who keep on pillaging their land. India should seek them out in the jungles of Assam near Burma and China border. However, only today I have this intelligence from someone in Ramu that they know of a few training camps in the hills 10 km away to train whom he does not know. Could it be Rohingyas or are they ULFA troops? Or could it be a joint training program for both the groups by the Islamists?

Neither GoB nor GoI can do anything about these training camps because without throwing napalm bombs it is almost impossible to dislodge them. A free Assam is the only solution for the present impass. Indian govt cannot develop the region because of opposition from the locals, and the locals decry because Indian govt does not do development works. Free Assam is the only solution.
