India to modernise Vietnam’s defence forces

Vietnam's forces is already the "No 4 forces of the world", just how is India going to "modernise" it? Putting "Made in India" labels on the Russian weapons like they are doing with Chinese cell phones? ;)

To my pals in Vietnam, no matter what you get from India, just be careful with the submarine. It will explode on its own. Their telescopes might be funny too, they make Jupiter look like a fighter jet ;)
you have humour with "No 4 forces of the world".
No, our army needs a push in modernization, especially the navy and airforce. India can help as she has a vibrant military industry complex. incidents happened in China, too if I recall.

The only ones the Indian 'navy' will ever scare are the fish

Navy my a$$.
Glorified fishing fleet pretending to be a 'navy.
that's what they do right?!
and what they do MAKE them who they r.they r Indians and vietnamese....which means if they stop bragging like that the sun will rise from the west. so that's what they do to comfort themselves.that's their job.
and what we do is...... watching them bragged, then laugh, then ignore them:lol::lol::lol:

despite what your retard countrymen keep parroting, india produces most of its naval vessels (which are way better than the floating tinpots PLAN has) and produces the su 30mki in its HAL facilities (an aircraft PLAAF has no answer to) in large numbers. there is also the fact that IAF is extremely adept with the su30

Forget about warships, show us 1, just 1, coast patrol ship that is >50m long and has been manufactured by India's ship-making industry alone: made by exclusively Indian materials, designed by Indians, made by Indians from A to Z.

Answer: you really don't have any!

You ship-building industry, just like anything coming out of that pit, is a joke.

Mate, in war it doesn't MATTER if the weapon is imported or not, what matters is that it should WORK.

Glorified Fishing Fleet?? the largest navy in IOR???

Mate, are you challenging the BD posters here? :D

Well, actually, it's a big matter if the weapon is imported or not. You can always rebuild the destroyed one if you can build it independently. While countries who imported their weapons can only depend to the countries where they are imported it from. it is already a huge advantage really, in a war.

India to modernise Vietnam’s defence forces? not the opposite way

Vietnam is looking to reduce dependence on Russia.
QUite a few Indian origin weapon systems have come of age and stand on equal footing wit similarly specced and priced options,

If VN is trying to do that way, they should not try Indian weapons, Japaneses and S.Koreans are much better and reliable choices.

Look at this way..beyond newer procurement, you still have existing platform ..and thats where pur vast exp in operating soviet/russian hw comes to the fore, for training purpose.

Secondly, japan or SK may not be willing to sell their hardware ..India has no such problems.
Also, thinkimg speciffically of the brahmos, im not sure what is the equivakent offering from those 2 countries,.

Calling that thing you call a 'navy' is an insult to actual navies. Indian 'navy' is a glorified fishing fleet with a couple of trophy aircraft carriers which you don't even know how to operate without foreign help.

Tactics and kill ratios of what? Fish?

You can't produce your own submarines or even surface ships and you're laughing at China

Can these ships in the Indian 'navy' go on water?

Kolkata destroyer alone has been in construction for a decade showing how incompetent the Indian military truly is. It's taken so long that its already outdated.
its cute to see you chibots call your floating cardboard boxes as a "navy"

lets compare:

PLAN war experiance:
cutting cables
scaring fishermen of vietnam and philipines (and run away when their navy arrives)
sailing in the ocean
refurbishing an "aircraft carrier"

IN war experiance:
sank destroyers
sank minesweepers
sank american subs(very silent not like the tinpots you guys make)
sank supply ships
use carriers to enforce naval blockade
destroyed ports
ran the logistics for the LTTE war
sank LTTE vessels
sank pirate vessels
saved Maldives from terrorist invasion (with the help of IA and IAF)

yep PLAN is better hands down.

oh by the way, india produces subs, including nuclear subs you chinese tard
and the naval ships we produce can eat up your "navy"

and people wonder why i call Chinese retards :hitwall:
let me make this simple so your people can understand.
indian navy import some weapon systems and electronics not because we cant, but because the western ones are better. occasionally, even the steel is imported. everything else is made in india. so what we now have is a ship that can sink anything that your "navy" has

india's biggest strength is not its military industrial complex, but its expertise. thats why you see the indian military training many countries in a large spectrum of areas. china is the exact opposite. its strength is its military industrial complex, not expertise, so you see china exporting its weapons while hardly any countries request PRC to train its troops

in other words, are you trying to say that India's biggest strength is not its hardware, but software ( "expertise") ?
:omghaha:

I am pretty sure 81 is one hell of software!

Certainly the jackass Vietnam PM has never heard of "THE Legend of HAL".

Nonetheless I am confident that your world-record expertise of slamming any foreign import that either flies or swims to the solid ground could surely train Vietnam's airforce and navy into the 2nd in the world after India in no time. :dance3:

You are a mental case !

Those bikes are Royal Enfield with 250 -300 CC engine and manual transmission built in India. And this is Republic day parade, not a milaitary excercise

OK, Royal Enfield tech originally came from India, instead of England, huh? Another indigenous Indian feat! :cheesy:

Originally came from England. Now Defunct in England long time ago. Manufactured fully and only in India now. The componenst vendors are Indian companies. Not like your indegenous feat of making fried rice !
