India to hard sell Tejas at air show

.
LCA technology should be offered under the table to Iran in exchange for reduced oil/gas deal

How can a fighter plane be offered under the table, to iran? It's not like once they are delivered its can be hidden, an I wonder what the U.S. reaction would be.

Not talking about the actual fighters but the some technology such as design, software, materials etc well the Americans first need to find out but it must be done in a covert fashion.

.
Dream on, we don't buy indian defense equipment.

hmmm...we know Bangladesh is settled with mighty and out of the world generation aircraft ... The fighter Aircraft ...The F7.... In short...Talking moon and going to peanuts.

.
Years ago I was at a exhibition I can not go into much detail but I will tell you that some Indian companies have sold nuclear related materials to Iran.

However it was done outside of India but I will not say more than this

.
With 37 F7 and 8 Mig-29 Bangladesh air force cannot even fight Myanmar Air Force forget India .

Your in a dream world too, india would never jeopardise their new found friendship with the U.S. and there is no way you could keep tech supplies to Iran secret.

Yeah true, we spend just 1.2% of our GDP on defence the lowest rate in South asia, and all that goes to pay salaries etc. we have spent very little on equipment and modernisation, things are changing though the economy is growing fast even faster then indias so we can now buy those toys.

K8 intermediate trainers,Yak130 advanced trainers to train the BAF. In due time advanced fighters (mig35 or su30) are on the short list. Type 056 corvettes with more to be made in BD, LPCs with more already under construction in BD and at least 2 new frigates either type 054a or Incheon class....

It's simple, why would we buy tejas from india? It's more expensive then and less capable then a mig35, and its supplied by india?

Simple, we never took defence seriously. We always under spent on the defence sector, and as a poor nation we had other priorities health, education etc. unlike myanmar, who had a military gov who did not have to think about providing those services to the people and had to spend a huge percentage of its income on build a large armed force at the expense of building the economy.

Now though our economy is growing fast, the industrial base is starting to grow and we can spend a lot more on defence and still maintain a low GDP to defence expenditure ratio.

You must attack India,we are poor too with fighter sqn at all time low. :D

Jeez...build first, before talking of exporting. Exporting fighter jets is not a child's play. Even advanced countries find it difficult to achieve this, like France's Rafale. India has a longgggg way to go before it even starts thinking of military exports

The aircraft is right now in Serial Production & like any other company HAL would like to keep the production line open for as long as it can, hence the bid to try to export it

.
Boy your deluded, when did Bangladesh ever buy a major weapon system from india? Do you understand english? Bangladesh does not buy indian defense equipment....peddle your stuff to myanmar.

Our navy is supplied by china, air force china and russia and the army is supplied by china, russia and serbia. man Bangladesh will even buy serbian stuff then indian.

With time you will see by yourself. Indian Policy is clear which is to make SAARC stronger.

Bangladesh joins TAPI
(This article was published on December 2, 2014)
Meanwhile, the Saarc agreement has finalised Bangladesh’s entry into a consortium for the Trans-Afghanistan gas pipeline project, referred to as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) project. “Bangladesh first expressed its interest to join the TAPI project nearly two years ago. The energy cooperation deal made Bangladesh’s entry a certainty,” Chowdhury said. He wants to rechristen the project TAPI-B.

But first, satisfy the needs of IAF.

India will export Tejas to friendly countries and Government is aware that HAL will get International export orders.

LOL....TAPI....too much gas its making me laugh.....its a dead as a dohdoh. Your trying to bring up totally unrelated things. TAPI will never happen, a pipeline from central asia through arche enemies pakistan to india ...LOL....talk about desperate.

Get it through that thick skull of yours, we dont want or need your tejas and a useless organisation as SARRC isnt going to help it either.

TAPI...SARRC....what next?

Bangladesh does not buy indian weapons...period. Stop putting your head in the sand, it wont happen.

You must attack India,we are poor too with fighter sqn at all time low. :D

Dont need to, a slow demographic change will do the work for us...boohoohoo.

Only thing this junk is useful is being an escort to commercial airliners, these flying showpieces are only currently based in Tamil Nadu and are currently doing this job wonderfully. I heard HAL is offering Tejas to Boeing as a promotional package where if you buy a 747 you get two free.

Post reported !!
