NEW DELHI - India's Strategic Force Command test-fired two of the military's enhanced-range Prithvi-II surface-to-surface missiles from the missile testing range in eastern Orissa state on Oct. 12.

"The two missiles, aimed at two different targets at 350 kilometers from the launch point, met all the mission objectives," the Indian Defence Ministry said in its official statement.

The nuclear-capable Prithvi, the first missile developed under India's Integrated Guided Missile Development Program, can carry a 500-kilogram warhead, and its advanced inertial guidance system is accurate within a few meters, the ministry statement said. The missile is powered by two liquid-fueled engines.

A senior Indian Army official said India also needs solid-fueled ballistic missiles, which can be operational at a much faster rate than liquid-fueled ones.

Pakistan also has a set of missiles, and its Hatf-III missile, with a range of 290 kilometers, is powered by solid fuel.

That is the Agni-5 Missile. with a range of 6000Km
It is an upgraded version of India's Agni-3 which has a range of 3000Km

According to wiki
1. Agni-I short range ballistic missile, 700 - 800 km range.

2. Agni-II medium range ballistic missile, 2,500 km range.

3. Agni-III intermediate range ballistic missile, 3,500 km range.

4. There will not be an Agni-IV missile, with DRDO leapfrogging from intermediate range Agni-III to a standard ICBM possibly.

5. Agni-V intercontinental ballistic missile, 5,000 - 6,000 km range (under development).

Prithvi is a theater BM , used mainly as a deterrent to PAK.

Having difficulty reading? If not, read other articles on this test which clearly mention that the missile was test-fired to check the new, improved aided inertial navigation system.

america(NASA) have never accept the results of your missile test over the range of 300km

Dude... we haven't even tested the Agni-5 missile yet. What are you talking about? The first test is scheduled in early 2011. And the longest range missile India has tested so far has a range of 3000 kms (Agni-3).

but they did not seem to mind sending along Equipment to put on CH-1 to go to the Moon.

If they really believed Indian Missile technology to be old and antiquated.
with a limited range of 300KM

They why would they send equipment to put on CH-1.

Face it, India has had Operational Agni-3 with a 3000KM range for over a year now.

With Agni-5 in the works, and no doubt Full inducted by 2015.

Indian Missile Tec
Far outstrips that of Pakistan.
Considering we also have anti-ballistic missiles capable of dealing with all of Pakistan's Missiles.
Pritvi should be the least of your worries:cool:

Your ability to launch a Preemptive Attack, which Pakistan has always done. Given the strategic imbalance ,has been severely compromised.

tell me any good proof from NASA or any other international organization
which has approved your long range missile test(above then 300 KM)

Nuclear Threat Initiative:

More significantly, India's sophisticated civilian satellite launch capability makes it one of the few developing states theoretically capable of building an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) within this decade.

India continues its wide-ranging pursuit of ballistic and cruise missile capabilities. It also carried out two successful tests of its 3,000-3,500 km range Agni-III ballistic missile in April 2007 and May 2008, and a successful test of the K-15 (Sagarika) submarine-launched ballistic missile in February 2008.

On May 7, 2008 India successfully test-fired its 3,000 km range Agni-III missile for the second time, giving the country a capability to hit targets as far as deep inside China. The all solid fuel missile took off from Wheelers Island off Orissa coast at 09:56 hrs and achieved its full range and accuracy by reaching its pre-designated target in 800 seconds.

On 12 April 2007 the DRDO conducted the second test flight of the intermediate range Agni III.
The missile is expected to be able to deliver 1,500 kg payload to a range of up to 3,500 kms.
