India should market LCA Tejas Trainer has lead-in fighter trainer (LIFT)

.
The problem with Tejas as a trainer is such that after taking a training on Tejas, Pilots will not like to fly other aircraft as Tejas is so maneuverable and user friendly that other planes can not match it many area as such as high agility, ease in flying, Excellent Radar and ew.
plz tell me what your smoking???? and also what complicated maneuvers tejas can do???

.
The Tejas Mark I will be one of the world’s most affordable fighters in its class. Ministry of Defence (MoD) sources tell Business Standard that Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has quoted a price of Rs 162 crore per aircraft for the first 20 Tejas fighters that have begun production in Bangalore. That translates into a dollar price of approximately $26 million per fighter
Broadsword: HAL pegs price of Tejas light fighter at Rs 162 crore

Yeah thats the price, excluding dev costs. The fly away unit price will exceed $40m when the dev costs are included, for exports that will mean youd be competeing against the mig 35, grips etc.

A current LIFT like the YAK 130 costs $17m, so why would any foreign air forces buy a LCA for LIFT for $35m-$40m when they could get a YAK 130 for half the price?

. .
How come LCA MK 1 so expensive?

When development period is 45 years costs tend to pile up. Plus corruption.

DRDO DG the senior most scientist and top expert on our domestic defence industry has confirmed price as 200crore+ which is $33million plus.
Thats when the plane is still not fully developed. No bvr being a small example.

Expect price of Tejas to rapidly escalate once FOC is achieved which is 2 years from now.

Most expensive plane in its class

.
So what. It was used to upgrade Sea harrier. In new Mirage upgrade, they have installed excellent PESA radar. Now would you argue that Radar is dumb since 4 decade old Mirage use that?

AOA 24* is very good. Can you please name any trainer plane which does Pigachev cobra or 90 KN thrust engine and go upto mach 1.6? AOA will go to 28* with FOC of tejas.

So as pilots who has flown it.

You need to learn more on Tejas.

So now Tejas is a trainer?

Go home kid

Tejas is not 45 years old.
An aircraft with nearly 26 aoa can't be a lift as it can't maneuver.
Yak 130 is sub sonic, so noobs keep that out.
There are few supersonic trainers I know.
1-hongdu l-15
2- Northop t-38
3- KAI t-50
All have a better aoa,few features about each is l 15 is twin engine
T38 is affordable 5 million usd

KAI t-50 has better radar(aesa) and better armament.
Well at end of the day Pakistani and Chinese trolls should know that, it's our aircraft, we learnt from it,its not a copied version or a painted aircraft. You may not find it good but every citizen in India likes it as it's our design, not a copied one.Things may not be indigenous but concept and idea is.Idea of composites is evolving, it reduces weight and rcs. It's corrosion free. Same material has been used in lch.See the knowledge gained from the lca was used in lch, same way we got knowledge and experience from lca.I reckon lca was made to be a replacement for mig 21 and well it's better than bisons.

Yak-130 - $15 million
Hongdu L-15- $14 million
T-50- $21 million

LCA Tejas- $35 million and increasing.

Case Closed

Every citizen of India? Design? Ridiculous and off topic.

This is not about learning, concepts and ideas. Its about providing a lightweight multirole fighter plane to the IAF to replace aging soviet fleet. Guess what aging soviet fleet is retiring and no replacement coming for them as Tejas is years away from induction. LCA project has failed in its primary/main objective.

Better than bisons? The bison is bvr capable. R-77 is used and certified on both bis and bison. Tejas has neither capability nor certification.

. . .
Don't ever quote me u piece of sc*m.Lca is in development phase don't u get that u cu*t. Well it may be a failure for you but not for me.Pakistan is a failed state for me but not for u.Untill a project is not closed,it can't be termed failed.

IAF ought to take ADA HAL and DRDO to Supreme court of India.

They placed order for Tejas in March 2005.

A 9.5 year delay in delivery.

If this same thing were to happen in say Russia it would be off to the gulags for the people responsible. Hanged in China. Declared enemy agents in the US.

But in India they will get Diwali bonus.

Sitting in the US you are so well aware of the on the ground situation. A country in deep civil war and mutinies in the armed forces is definitely heading in the direction of achieving failed state status. However being an Indian citizen residing in India i could not care less.

LCA Tejas failed it primary objective years ago. The very reason why the LCA project was started was to replace Mig's and Hunter.

Hunter retired 2 decades ago. Mig-23 retired 4 years ago. 2/3rd Mig-21's have been retired/out of action. Mig-27 is soon going to be retired.

Tejas is atleast 4 years away from 1st squadron being operationalised.

Failed.
