What's new

India should have informed in advance about K-4 SLBM test:Pak .

. . .
So Pakistan can also test a 'secret' missile without warning?
sure she can and we will complain.... :)
if govt of India or DRDO cannot officially confirm a missile launch directly, I doubt they will inform it via official channel to any country.

.
For those of you who do not know what the agreement originally was:

https://www.armscontrol.org/act/2005_11/NOV-IndiaPak

The agreement states that pre-notification applies only to tests conducted with surface-to-surface ballistic missiles launched from land or sea. The agreement does not apply to cruise missiles. Cruise missiles are powered their entire flight and can be maneuvered, while ballistic missiles are only powered for the first few minutes of their flight and follow a charted trajectory to the ground.

.
Pakistan and India have an AGREEMENT to give advance warning for impending Missile tests.

Well we just Threw it out

NOTAM and NAVAREA warnings are International obligations

Bilateral agreements are meaningless

Why would you tell you our secrets

We know there are Chinese ships and submarines in Bay of Bengal
and Indian Ocean ; Telling you is like telling the Chinese

That Test was done 6000 KM AWAY from Pakistani mainland

The missile NEITHER flew over your territory NOR land near your sea shores

this is not true. India did not throw out any such agreement. please check my earlier post. The agreement is for ballistic missiles and not cruise missiles (with flights under control until the impact point). the tested missile apparently had fully controlled flight

And how did Pakistan confirm this? How did it confirm this without NAVAREA warnings that a missile launched in Bay of Bengal, even in Indian Ocean near Deigo Garcia?
