India seeks China's assistance to revamp Indian Railways

. . . . . .
It is believed that China, since the Second HSR Boom that started in 2014 (after the signing of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor) offers a pretty convincing export package for HSR development and infrastructure. It has been cited that the overall contract asset cost is about half of what the Japanese side can offer.

Which is one of the reasons btw for the tension between the two sides, as far as Chinas' HSR cooperation with Japan was concerned too. It was thought/understood by one party that ToT for Chinas' HSR projects would not leak/lead to export side activities.

So, one reason is the cost. The other is that it is possible for such a project to serve as a decompression valve for bilateral foreign policy relations, and as a boost for cooperation and strengthening bilateral trade relations.

Bad move by China. Let the Japs fleece India. China need to stop with this low price shit for building high tech infrastructure or no one will take China as a high end manufacturer.

Indians are shameless beggars..
Exactly if same have had happened to Pakistan, this thread would have been full of indian posts speaking their lungs out that China has taken over Pakistan. Taunts of substandard material and everything. Indians are the biggest hypocrites ever. Now they are all hiding in their tiny caves or may be some slums in Mumbai .

China is second to none when it comes to railway infra and India should definitely seek the support of China to improvise and modernize our railways.
Oh really? Why do you and your fellow countrymen start abusing infrastructure built under CPEC?

I didn't and neither did most of my fellow Indians even though some have conflicting views. I always stated that India should follow on the lines of China when it comes to infra development
