Great help and superb decison in a very short time. With extensive experience in handling crisis events, the NDRF is one of the best trained response teams in the world and can really help the turks out in this time of crisis. India is sending medics and trained dogs alongisde eqipment for rapid support.

NDRF teams comprising 100 personnel with specially trained dog squads will be flown to the earthquake-hit areas in Turkey, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Office said.

I hope Modi learnt his lesson during the Nepal tragedy and not make disaster relief all about gloating about himself and India.

. . .
He hasn't and is going to do just that.

What part of this thread made you come to that conclusion?

As soon as the earthquake happened he put togetrher a team that can be useful on ground and dispatched it. You're thinking of credit, he is thinking of helping people.

He needs another drama to divert attention away from Adani files.

He's not. He's looking for political clout.

He's sent aid multiple times to disaster locations, only to try and use it for political purposes.

Doesn't matter. Neither the turks nor anyone else has a problem with that. Important thing is that on ground there are 100s of highly trained Indians who will help them at a time of need.

Except last time it was absolutely humiliating for India, and a lot of people on the ground lost their trust in the Indian teams present.

At least now you're acknowledging it, so that's a step forward.

yeah, nothing you said is true dude.

You're concerned about credit. You are jealous that India will declare it a victory. You are claiming it will create a problem with the host country. In reality, host countries get access to highly trained and coordinated teams. Host countries are very thankgul for timely support. They know that GOI will talk about it to highlight our internaitonal contributions because no one is going to avoid that publicity. In general thankful for our help.

Like we did with vaccines

There's a difference between taking credit and utterly humiliating yourself by acting like self-righteous jerks.

We know that the BJP led Indian government has India's media landscape in its tight grip, so you can't even do a "whatabout" here.

Pakistan and other nations have also sent aid.

Don't be an idiot.
