Dharamsala: India should undertake course correction on Tibetan policy and stand more firmly for the cause, BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said on Monday.

"I hope in future there will be course correction and India will stand more firmly in support of Tibetan cause and tell Chinese in very clear terms that the genocide and destruction of civilisation and religion of Tibet is something which is not acceptable to India as indeed it is not acceptable to progressive global opinion," the former finance and external affairs minister said here.

Sinha, the Chairman of All Party Indian Parliamentarian Forum for Tibet, was speaking to mediapersons on the concluding day of his three-day visit to Dharamshala from September 15-17.

During his visit, Sinha met several members of the Tibetan government-in-exile here.

"Many people in India including me believe that by not supporting the cause of Tibet in 1950 when the Chinese aggression took place, we made a huge strategic mistake.

"As apart from the fact that India and Tibet always had very deep civilisational relationship, Tibet also acted as a buffer zone between China and India and by letting that buffer collapse we invited China to our borders and we experienced the result of that in 1962 with the Chinese aggression," he said.

Sometimes 'shoots from the hip' election time comments by an ambitious politician can really hurt international relations, as the case here with Mr. Yashwant Sinha. To say another country ''genocide and destruction of civilization and religion" where no country in the world labels China as such is simply an irresponsible statement to gather local supports.

I'm sorry your post is too funny. :haha::rofl:
"As soon as China becomes engaged in its eastern front, India will launch a major offensive against China across the Himalayas and will capture Tibet"

This part that u posted.. was very good.:rofl:

This is not how politics is run in India as you are thinking. Indian domestic political affairs are not like what you see in east Asia. Don't get misguided. What he said was a direct message from Indian military to the Chinese military though the message came from a civilian leader's mouth.

What Indian military needs right now is the break out of war between China and Japan.... the moment such war breaks out in east Asia, Lhasa's Potala Palace will be seen hoisting the Indian flag.

Capturing and annexing Tibet and Xinjiang with India will serve Indian interests and every patriotic Indian should support this move. Tibet will give India a vast region full of natural resources and Xinjiang will give India an access to Central Asia.

Why you giving out your national ambitious plan in an open forum, General?

The same reason for which Yashwant Sinha suggested India to change its Tibet policy. We are confident of our victory in a war between India and China and that is why we can say what we will do after our troops march in front of Tienanmen Square which will hoist the Indian flag.

I always though the Indians military is confident enough they can beat their Chinese counter part in Indian territory. Now you are telling me they can invade China and eventually can hoist their flag in Tienanmen. How can India send her troops across China for more than 3,000km to Beijing? You don't have enough ships on the ocean route and not enough personnel carriers capable of crossing the Himalayas, plus all these provide the PLA do nothing but wave Indian flags as signs of welcomes.

No good, General you need to read up more on Sun Zi's 'The Art of War'.

War can be fought in several phases and advancement can be achieved step by step. And Arthasastra is more useful than the Art of War in military strategy lessons.
