India Needs a Million Mother Teresas; Celebrating Her Sainthood Isn't Enough

LOL.... u just proved my point , u are already hard bent on she being a very bad person. No amount of proof will change u!

Baseless allegation? Boss all u have to do is prove that he doesn't. Point to this published list. And like u said if he doesn't, will accept defect and say he is all good nice guy!:enjoy:

LOL....so your attempt at providing proof about ms. terresa has degenerated into labelling me within a span of a single post

Yet you continue to demand "proof" about Ramdev. Its now a full fledged comedy show.

Pain and Suffering is the very Core and Root of Christianity.

If they are eliminated then Christianity will cease to exist. Look at their fate in Europe. If it does not exit, they go out of their way to create it.

Christianity NEEDS pain and suffering to exist, the same way mother teresa NEEDED the destitute's of Calcutta more than they needed her.
and another ignorance - Sad very very sad
Have you met any Christian or u just hate us ?

You should read Nietzsche's:On Genelogy of morality. He called Judeo-Christianity as a religion of slaves whose morality thrive on victimhood and suffering, and for good reasons.

Though by his interpretation ,contemporary Hinduism too is a religion of slaves ,having shell-shocked by Islamic conquests, though classical Hinduism (Pre-Bhakti era) is not.

His master-slave morality also explains inferiority complex among some Indians, and "beef parties" organized by "seculars".

Though I could not find specific link, this is quite good: http://www.stephenhicks.org/2010/01...rality-section-25-of-nietzsche-and-the-nazis/

I am aware of this work and its gist, though have not read it in any great detail.

Indians have a simpler way of explaining this, we say,

"Jo jeetha wohi Sikandar".

I don't know whether she is worthy to be a Saint but she cared for the poor and needy and helped them in whatever way she could. But I have reservations about her not giving proper medical help and relying only on prayers for healing the sick. Maybe she didn't have the resources or she falsely had too much faith in prayer for healing people. One can't blame her though as she atleast helped the ones other people didn't care about.

Watch your language. What is it with you all from the subcontinent - always chatising and complaining and back bitting - it seems it is a neurological diseases that you all suffer from.

I am not a christian but have volunteered at her missions in East Africa. Just come and spend a day and become a better person serving humanity; it is easy to throw stones vs walking the path of actually doing humanitarian work. Whether or not miracles were done, the work itself is a miracle - at least there is deep conviction in people to help.

So get up and spend time helping others. you will all become better people.

So much hatred against a saint.

She is recipient of hatred exactly because your side is insisting are calling her a saint. As another poster has commented, she is nothing more than Nirmal baba, a deluded or a charlatan or both.

There are lot of people who have worked for the benefit of poor and most of those have gone unnoticed. And people should not ask why others did not match up to the works of Mother Terasa. Tbh Terasa was white, and she had wide publicity and propaganda in the west as the white saving black, compassionate etc which natives lacked. Its India responsibilty to give them name and fame.

There is a Sivananda Guruklam, very famous in Chennai for past 60 years. Yet no one knows bout it other than Chennaites. We will wait till Western media gives them limelight, and all government rewards will follow. This is a sad state of affairs in India.

Everyone had their part, and Mother Terasa doings to help poor give them a home, a place to live, food to feed is noble and humanity gesture. I dont care she was a evangelist. She did provide humanity, and that's what matters.

It wont, cause not minority.

If by some chance it gets popular, dont be surprised if it gets shut down, due to some random cases and allegations by foreign funded ngos. There is an entire eco system behind this at work, systematic glorification of certain people and mud slinging of others who dont fit in.
