Well what Pakistani player did, was not very nice and he got his punishment.

Now following a no-tolerance approach against racist and abusive behavior, FIH should show some balls and fine India for failing to control their crowd.

Moreover, those in the crowd shouting racist and abusive slurs must be prosecuted, just like india requests Australia and other countries to do when their crowd throws racist slurs against indian players.

And as in Football (soccer), where the home team is fined heavily, if they fail to control their crowd, india should be banned for few matches.

Your thoughts?

Normally sports body impose a "empty" stadium policy for crowds that are involved in racial chanting or obscene chants

If the chants were present Pakistani Team should lodge an entry for objection we can't have few 20,000 fans creating problem for whole country etc as visiting teams get frustrated by the angry chants

Fans should behave on field they are there to watch not start war of words with players on ground

I have been involved in games where fans were chanting "vulgar" chants or constant abuse, and I saw some team players had it with these "observers" and tell them they will go into stands (and this is in Western society we are talking

The problem is really fans who start these racial or political chants

Did not see Pakistani Hockey team give any negative notion today they came played their game and went back ...

From Pakistani Team side they stated the players were targeted by fans

^^ Exactly, this is the point.

You can not have it both ways, on one hand asking host nations to take action against their rude crowd and on the other hand defending your own abusive crowd when you are the host.

This is a sheer hypocrisy which india is showing.

.
Yes Fines should have been imposed on India as well for the wrong behaviors.

.
you are talking something which nobody observed....show me video or picture of crowd misbehave...

Well ask the Pakistani players who were subject to these abuses - to which they (over)reacted.

Then there are indian eye witnesses who were present in the crowd, these have already been posted on these forums. Go search.

that means you dont have any proof...
Pakistani Players are pissed off due to their defeat to India in Asian Games which denied the place in Olympic directly..

.
Any source to prove that the crowd was being racist
I don't think so
Cheering a home team shouldnt be called an indecent behavior

@coffee_cup

Do you have any evidence that the Indian crowds behaved badly and subjected the Pakistani players to racist slurs or is that a figment of your imagination? If there is evidence then I agree with you. Such behavior, especially in sport, is unacceptable.

Your point is valid...But this is a reaction to yesteday's incident...Anyway, crowd of Bhubaneswar is not like that..They are just responding to for yesterday's incident...If you have started the racism and odd behaviour yesterday then it is difficult to control...And the next thing is why to ban India team when today's match was not with India team itself...

You guys just lost the goodwill with your behaviour yesterday and now the reaction of the crown is expected...It is fine that it is Bhubaneswar , if you are in any part of norther India, things could have been more uglier..

In one of the post one Indian member "he man" posted about deluision and he got banned in this virtual forum where as in real world, pakistani team members are getting banned. May be I will get banned as well.

Why do Pakistani always keep on living in denial and start jumping before showing some proof before blaming others. Almost always ready for taking sides which is negation of Indian stand.

Clear there should be a crowd ban for 2-3 games so people can sit down and watch a game of Hockey properly with tea and biscuits
