It is possible that in exchange for access to some of the systems Iran is helping Taliban operationalize the equipment.

This move will incentivize Pakistan to bomb Afghanistan harder than it ever has before and justify all sorts of atrocities Pakistan may end up committing in Afghanistan.

They wouldn't want to get their own name tarnished being seen supplying high-tech offensive weapons to a nation where grave human rights concerns of ethnic minorities and women are being raised, especially when it isn't recognised and is a designated terror group.

No it won't. Afghan Taliban is a nationalist-Islamist regime, it doesn't care for anything outside its own claimed borders.

It wants positive relations with India.

Pakistan's security establishment is either infiltrated by traitors (Indians/Pashtun nationalists/sympathisers of Afghans), or incompetent and being taken for a fool. Probably both.

Anyone who has read the history between Afghanistan and Pakistan can tell how this is going to play out:

To begin with, Afghans have a culturally ingrained hatred of Pakistan and Panjabis in their blood, it's nazi-like and even to the point where their school books used to teach children of racism against Panjabis. They want to conquer Balochistan and frontier province which they see as occupied by kaliya panjabis and they must get it back at all costs. You can't reason with this narrative at all, nor trust them about not doing the above.

What's going to happen is this:

-Afghanistan will begin to develop and economy stabilise in the coming years. perhaps gain some allies in Iran and India.

-They will work India and others against Pakistan's interests and to build as much military capabilities as they can. As seen by the desire to build their own drones, or purchase them from Iran, and likely even an anti-drone system.

-They will then launch aggressive social media campaigns of Pashtun separatism using the typical anti-Panjabi/anti-Pakistani and genocide talking points with hopes of trying to incite civil war or civil disobedience against consitituion and federation.

-They will then amplify their terrorism campaign using TTP or new group - pretty easy since majority of afghans are willing to commit terror attacks inside pakistan they just need the greenlight.

-They will then raise their claim on Pakistani territory on international forums and UN if they can, just like they did in the past. They will formally use historical/linguistic/ethnic basis to claim the territories and try make it an international issue and gain support.

These are things you can't change. You have an even worse India brewing to your western wing that is worse because of its strategic depth of terrorism.

you might as well lobby as hard as you can for US to support your narrative in fire bombing the southern of afghanistan, and drop a minaturised nuke on Kandahar. only way you can put an end to this story otherwise it will return again and again and again.

It is true that India would not want a fundamentalist Islamic empire on her western borders, but she wouldn't mind the Taliban degrading the Pakistani army and state. Using your enemy's enemy is a very common realpolitik tactic. Pakistan helped the Khalistanis even though she didn't want the revival of a Sikh empire that covets Lahore Multan and Peshawar. The Chinese also don't want a strong Islamic power in their neighborhood but still help Iran and Pakistan.

That's what I've been telling the naive and insecure both groups here simce the fall..Even if pakistan finds a friendly Talib in kabul it may not to find a friendly Talib near border area following kabul...the chain of command is broken and many groups are just working autonomously as much as they can..
