India: Haroon Rashids film in Guinness World Records
Film-maker Haroon Rashid shot the two-hour, 20-minute-long movie on a single camera in full HD format
Film-maker Haroon Rashid's movie "One Shot - Fear Without Cut" that has already been listed in the Limca Book of Records, will soon add another feather to its cap. It will soon be listed in the Guinness Book Of World records for being shot continuously on a single camera. The supernatural-thriller of two-hours and 20-minutes achieved a rare feat of becoming a one take movie, without a single cut.
Spiced up with all ingredients of a masala flick - comedy, action, drama and thrill - the film was shot on one camera in full HD format. The story is based on a group of youngsters who get trapped in the race of shortcuts, desiring to become star performers overnight. The film will now be given the world record certificate by Guinness officials at a special ceremony that will be organized in Mumbai on June 25.
The movie has already got rave reviews in international film festivals like Sundance Film Festival, Venice Film Festival and Shanghai International Film Festival.
"Covering four different locations over a distance of 7 kilometres was no child's play. But we did it," says Rashid who wrote, produced and directed the film.
Rashid, who debuted in direction with this film, adds, "Starting from the sea to the road, road to the jungle and jungle to the building, all in one shot was not easy. Inspite of all the challenges that we faced during the picturisation, the camera was not stationary, it was in motion at all times."
