HERE IS ANOTHER EMBARRASSMENT FACED BY INDIA WHEN NOBODY GIVE A S**T TO THE GILGIT-BALTISTAN SPONSORED MOTION. THE MOTION CLEARLY MENTION THAT IT HAS ONLY SUPPORTED BY AN IDIOT HIMSELF........... WHAT A SHAME...

London: India had to face huge disappointment and embarrassment in the British Parliament after one of its sponsored motion backed by only one member of the Parliament was moved in the House.

No other member of the house has signed the motion which condemns Pakistan move of making Gilgit-Baltistan as fifth province of Pakistan.

Indian lobby in UK could not succeed in convincing any other member of the house to follow and sign the motion.

Earlier it was reported in Indian media that The British Parliament has moved a motion condemning Pakistan’s move to declare Gilgit-Baltistan as its fifth frontier, saying the region is a legal and constitutional part of Jammu and Kashmir illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947.

The motion was tabled on March 23 and sponsored by Conservative Party leader Bob Blackman.

It stated that Pakistan by making such an announcement is implying its attempt to annex the already disputed area.

“Gilgit-Baltistan is a legal and constitutional part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India, which is illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947, and where people are denied their fundamental rights including the right of freedom of expression,” the motion read.

It was further noted that the attempts to change the demography of the region was in violation of State Subject Ordinance and the `forced and illegal construction` of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) further aggravated and interfered with the disputed territory.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry has said that Beijing was ready to work with Islamabad to take forward the CPEC to benefit the people of both countries.

The CPEC is a USD 51.5 billion project that aims to connect Kashgar, in China`s western province of Xinjiang, with the port of Gwadar in the Pakistani province of Balochistan.

Not a credible news source.

For a motion whether it is signed by 1 or a 100 it has the same standing.
They represent only the views of those who signed and not whom Parliament.

What matters is resolutions which require voting by Presentee members and represent the will of the British Parliament as a whole.

. .
so out of 650 MPs only 1 voted in favour. And he was the one who tabled it

pretty embarrassing stuff if you ask me.

the parliament has a full vote on only a hand full of things in a year. Gilt will never be one

its more about issues that effect the general British masses. This Bob guy has a long history of endorsing indian positions, but he's a no body and made him look like a but of a twat infront of his fellow MP's as not one other mp signed the motion out of 650 mps.

. . . . . .
This just proves Indian pants are on fire, they simply cant digest CPEC, after all these years the Indians have been ignoring UN resolutions, now they come with up a comic motion that is a waste of time. Plain and simple implement UN resolutions.

.
At least one Brit MP now recognizes that GB and Azad Kashmir belongs to India.

Rest of them will follow when pressure is applied on right places.

1 out of 650 is truly and utterly embarrassing

here in the UK even animal protection bills get more support then just one mp. the other day more mps voted on the government recognising more genders then male and female and making 3 toilets of sexes instead of 2. so yeah 1 out 650 mps is utterly embarrassing
