India has emerged as the common factor for the four global powers, the US, Russia, China and Japan.

NEW DELHI: With two trilaterals planned on the sidelines of G-20 summit in Argentina on Friday, India has emerged as the common factor for the four global powers, the US, Russia, China and Japan.

The first-ever ‘JAI’ trilateral — Japan, America and India — and the second Russia-India-China (RIC) trilateral after a gap of 12 years will take place in Buenos Aires on Friday. These two meetings clearly signal strategic autonomy of Indian foreign policy.

ET was the first to report that RIC summit will happen in Argentina, besides the meeting between the Indian PM and the Presidents of the US, Russia and China.

“It is a reflection of our willingness to contribute in a constructive way in strengthening multilateral institutions like WTO and trying to build a consensus on new ideas like Indo-Pacific,” a source said.

Both Russia and China have already started dumping the dollars and started using their own currencies. India is the outlier. Indian interests are still tied to USD.

Trump put pressure on SA to increase the oil production and decrease the price of crude.

AND he waived sanctions on India for buying oil from Iran.

So as long as he acts as a friend, we should have no problem being friends with the US.
