Why?Punjab doesn't want that.
The Taliban, if I may say so, is just another face of Pashtun nationalism. Islamic albeit. But majorly Pashtun. The Taliban were the Pashtun faction of the Mujahideen. Why?

Still why this should bother Punjabi populace? I thought Pakistani establishment sees Taliban as its extended and some (Pashtun nationalists) may even see it as extended arm of Punjabi dominance. The Taliban, if I may say so, is just another face of Pashtun nationalism. Punjab population is indifferent to it. But now many are against it because of the wreckage Taliban wreaked.Still why this should bother Punjabi populace? Please do your dalaali for America some other place. You're right, the Taliban is like an antidote to Pashtun nationalism which easily descends into an anti-Pakistan, anti-Punjabi prejudice. It's totally in our interest for Taliban to takeover Afghanistan. Ironically, the US just realized the same thing, albeit quite late. Taliban will never cozy up with Iran, unlike the current government. Taliban are not totally against the idea of the US having some permanent military presence in that country, perhaps some permanent military base, which is needed to checkmate Russia, China and Iran, due to Afghanistan's central location.
I agree with you my drunken friend. No useless funding of Hindu religion in Pakistan anymore.pakistan should learn
patwari bhai ap to mind hi ker gaayI agree with you my drunken friend. No useless funding of Hindu religion in Pakistan anymore.
This I 100% agree with you on.The irony is that it was the Tajiks, under the hero Ahmad Shah Massoud, who were the most effective in fighting the Soviets and forcing them to retreat. Yet Massoud and his boys were totally neglected by Pakistan, which diverted the lion's share of the funding and weapons to the corrupt Pashtuns like Hekmatyar and Rabbani. Why? I suspect because of the Pashtun influence within Pakistan, they were partial to their own ethnic group across the border. Pakistan military has a big Pashtun component, going back to the days of that moron Ayyub Khan.
Don't forget Massoud, the Lion of Panjsher, was assassinated by AQ as a gift to the Taliban, literally two days before 9/11.
