Three conclusions -

• Indians are among the least supporters of their respective govt supporting this bid in UN among major countries
  
• A significant majority among them oppose their Govt supporting the Palestinian bid in UN
  
• A good majority of them dont give two hoots as to what happens there.

Indian Govt ought to have listened to the voice of the majority of the people and decided to either abstain/oppose. But this Govt.......

^^^^From the poll 32% SUPPORT the bid vs 25% OPPOSE. The Govt. DID listen to the majority opinion. All the way back in 1988 when it recognized it along with Russia, China and a number of other countries.

But what it clearly indicates is a large number are ill informed on the conflict.

What should be worrying is the fact that staunch allied of Israeli like US, Canada, Australia have huge majorities in favour of recognizing Palestine and trumpet their democratic credentials have still not agreed to listen to their public and recognize Palestine.

Actually, what that tells me is that a plurality in every single country polled supports voting to recognize Palestine. But you Israel supporters are so delusional, that you manage to think those poll results support your conclusion.

An Indian backstabbing must be so painful -- ouch -- all this time India pretended to be Israel's friend.

How can you possibly sell weapons to the country that recognizes Palestine? One day India might help Palestine using these weapons?
