The 4th International Exhibition and Conference on Civil Aviation, India Aviation-2014, will be
organised jointly by Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) at Begumpet
Airport, Hyderabad from March 12-16. This year, the theme of the country’s largest civil aviation exhibition will be ‘Enhancing Air Connectivity’. Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Ajit Singh will formally inaugurate the show on March 12 and Andhra Pradesh Governor, Shri E.S.L Narasimhan will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony. This time at India Aviation, the state in focus is Karnataka while the partner country is USA and the guest country is France. More than 250-exhibitors including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault and Rolls Royce are participating in the event. Biggest aircrafts in the world, Airbus A-380 and Dreamliner Boeing 787, will be special attractions at the premier air show. The show will be open for general public on March 15 and 16. The initial three days are reserved exclusively for business community in which big deals are expected to be signed. At present, India ranks 9th with nearly 400 functional aircrafts and by 2020 the country will be on third position as the number of aircrafts would go up to 1000. To mark the occasion, aerobatics flying display will be presented by two teams from London. There will be two shows every day. Ambassador of France, Mr Francois Richier, Director of US Trade and Development Agency, Ms Leocadia I. Zak and Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Shri Ashok Lavasa will also participate in the event. CEOs Forum Conference, static displays and demonstration flights will be other attractive features of India Aviation- 2014.
