India: 600 girls go missing from rape accused Daati Maharaj's ashram, cops on lookout

Daati Maharaj himself has also gone missing from the ashram, and the crime branch is on lookout for him.

As many as 600 girls have gone missing from the ashram of self-styled godman Daati Maharaj, who has been accused of rape by a 25-year-old woman. The girls have gone missing from Daati Maharaj’s ashram in Alawas in Rajasthan. As of now, there are only 100 girls in the ashram.

Notably, Daati Maharaj had claimed that there are at least 700 girls in the ashram, and the recent finding by the police has sent them into tizzy. Sources told Zee News that the police are investigation whether the girls were sent away from the ashram by the rape accused self-styled godman or whether they have gone their homes on vacation.

Daati Maharaj himself has also gone missing from the ashram, and the crime branch is on lookout for him.
This comes days after a 25-year-old woman claimed that she was a disciple of Daati Maharaj for almost a decade, but ran away from the ashram after allegedly getting raped by the godman and two of his disciples.

She had also alleged that a female disciple of the godman would force her into his room and if she refused, would tell her that other disciples too slept with him. The woman also alleged that she was sexually abused in the ashrams of the godman in Delhi and Rajasthan.

According to the complaint filed by her, she fled from one of the ashrams two years ago and was in depression for a long time. After she recovered from her trauma, she narrated her ordeal to her parents, who approached the police and a case was registered.

Daati Maharaj, however, dismissed all allegations saying the complainant was like his daughter. He also assured that he would fully cooperate with the authorities in the investigation. He said that he would not blame the complainant even if he is executed for the crime.

No man I don't think so. Indian religion is very old and this problem was not there before yes they were pagans and learned a lot from invading muslim kings but This rape disease is a recent one. I think it is originated from a much recent ideology there is some factor.

There should be an international community established and a study should be conducted. There are some physiological reasons behind it.

There should be some medical explanation of it. May be some new harmon growth or mutation is a reason.

If you go to Hindu temple in Nepal and India you will find explicit sexual sculptures. These people have no shame sadly.

About 5 years ago I saw a documentary by ABC in Australia on Women trafficking in India. I have forgotten the title of the documentary and I will try to search again so that I can post a link here. If I can find it, I would encourage you fellows to watch it. It was a documentary that had a profound impact on me. It was the most horrifying thing I had watched; the way innocent little girls and women were sold off into prostitution in India. We are literally talking about Millions of women a year - yes you heard me right, the number of women being forced into this is in millions. Many thousands were being killed cause they tried to escape. There was a tale of a man whose job was to marry innocent women from different villages only to sell them off into prostitution. Extremely sad and distressing.

After I watched this documentary, I was sad for a few days. I could not believe that humans can fall to such depths of indignity and to be able to commit such heinous crimes against these little kids and women. I questioned why would God let something like this happen to so many innocent people. I still am.
