Today is the independence day of Gilgit-Baltistan. It was on this day in 1947 that the people of the area and the Gilgit scouts earned their freedom from Dogra Raj. Please remember the bravehearts who laid down their lives .. to honor their sacrifices !


Independence Day of GB celebrated

DIAMER, Nov 1 (APP): The Independence Day of Gilgit Baltistan (GB) celebrated on Monday with great zeal and zest by the people of area.

A ceremony was held in the People’s Secretariat Diamer and local leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) addressed the party workers and common people.

District president PPP Mr.Taifor shah while addressing the participants said that this day reminds us about the great efforts of our leaders and martyrs who played an important role for the independence of (GB) against Dogra Raj.

He said we have to work with determination to improve our living standard and enough effort is required for the development of the region.
