doesn't the middle portion in the above image looks bigger than what you see below.

It does indeed but that is due to the wide angle lens setting and the angle of the camera. The point to note is that that black frame would not be there at all had it been a PG.

K-8s don't have those type of harness locks with the ejection seat.


Eagle wings are easy to notice and no you are mistaken

You are right...I was actually noticing the wingtips.. my second guess would be a T-38

Seems no.18 will be re-equipped soon since its F-7Ps only duty remaining is joy riding.

It's an F-7P.

Why? There is a GPS hooker extender on the right hand side of a PG. While it's absent in the video. So pretty evident there. Second, the DCP in the video also belongs to P. The mouse, RWR. PG's DCP is semi-digital and semi analog. Third, the switchology is present on the DCP which is unique to F-7P. PG's switchology is on the HOTAS-throttle link.

Also, the canopy is not the criteria. There are several airframes of FT-7PG with an exact same canopy of F-7P.
