What's new

In favor of Hindutva; by a Pakistani muslim

That's what liberals are...
Their never ending lies were frustrating, then 2014 happened,

Now, it's very funny seeing these Liberal squirm and squeal like little piglets
I've mentioned this many times and I'll say now as well. I don't care about liberals, rightists, leftists, etc. I just look at what a person says and if he sounds correct, I support him. It doesn't mean that I'm unbiased as I too am a human. There are plenty of good posts by @Joe Shearer as well, I really have learnt a lot from him and I can't sideline him to the corner as a liberal just because of some posts of his. The same would go for others unless they repeat the same thing again and again. That's just my personal take.

Like the article mentioned, everyone should be brought into the loop first before going with the decision. I too am totally for UCC as long as the laws are the most progressive according to 21st century standards.

Some of the nonsense suggested as loopholes or deviations can be eliminated by insisting that by law, only those arrangements in conformity with the UCC have any legal tenure.

It is not clear what provoked this unexpected outpouring of support. While I am mildly astonished, as well as mildly pleased, we really have a complex situation and a complex society, and underplaying the complexity will not help achieve any progress in implementing anything that is intended to offer a pleasing option to the vast majority. These steps, the UCC for instance, are useless unless almost everybody, except the unmarried aunt who lives in Matheran, agrees that it is a good thing.

They are Hindus as defined by upper-caste Hindus, and as dominated by upper-caste Hindus. Do you seriously think that they like the conditions in which they live? They may worship the same deities, having been born to do that, but they certainly don't seem to like being told that they are inferior and unfit for anything other than a menial position in life.
It's not like they aren't given benefits. Reservations are there for a reason and that is to bring them up. Surely a severely casteist India wouldn't have even given them reservations. I certainly consider them as Hindus as long as they identify themselves as one. Who are we to decide?
I don't live in an ivory tower, so I happen to know ground realities. Suppose you stop depending on the Internet to tell you about this breaking news not breaking, and meet the real world?
I'm saying based on real-life experiences. I've never encountered Shaivites, Vaishnavites and Shaktas fighting amongst themselves. In fact, majority of Hindus visit temples belonging to all.

What's the hurry? Why not concentrate on your own programme, and leave us to adopt or to discard this ridiculous stuff as we please?
I was responding only to that guy. Of course its a suggestion and totally depends on you guys.

Pakistan as a state does ensure those things, some incidents happen everywhere with minorities, they happen on a greater frequency in the west, see for recent reference the BLM movement. The thing that matters is if the state is adopting a discriminatory attitude towards a minorty and that has never happened in Pakistan.

Nazis had to be stopped with a world war which claimed millions of innocent lives, if the west had not been parading hitler on the front pages of the time magazine as a revolutionary leader and realized his true face in time, all those lives could have been saved, if u are looking to save lives on both sides then opposing a hindutva state is the most reaonable thing to do because it is evident and as sure as judgment day, if the hindutva state in our nieghbourhood is allowed to endure and if the world does not take notice of it in time, there would be a great catastrophe in South Asia which would threaten world peace.

You need to understand the mechanics of the hindutva state that is in the process of formation in India, it is based upon the ideals of the RSS formed in the 1920's which believes every non hindu must be converted back or evicted from India and here is the most important point "they consider India to include entire Pakistan", hence thier persistent ingress into Balochistan, KPK and Sindh via their proxies, there can be no peace with a Hindutva state because it does not want peace with you, it wants to take over your country.

The blatant stupidity with which they poked Pakistan in feburary despite knowing very well of the "nuclear" consequences gives u a hint of the dysfunctional extremist mind. Had there not been saner heads present in the power corridors of Pakistan, this could have gone a completely different way.

There can be no end to India without a war with Pakistan, the moment things get out of control in India with minorities, they will attack Pakistan to deflect the pressure.

Hope the point got through.
I know these things very well.
But I know few more things, and all I can say is, you will see.

Sure, Joe is Brilliant as long as he does not venture into political discussion.
Once he does, you can see the fangs & the sight is pretty ugly.

Noted. Do you plan to stand with a placard in front of the Indian Parliament House, or do you intend to go on hunger strike until and unless the needful is done. The conceit of the opening thought is an amusing one; when it gets to suggesting a start date, it became a bit of a public amusement.
By Allah, I am ready to do that as well.

Disagree, they'll keep muddying the waters on any debate.

Modi/Shah, given the mandate we gave them, and twitter lefties and buddhijibis be damned... need to ram it down asap.

they scrapped 370, gave the persecuted in the region hope with the CAA, hope in Bharat Mata.

bring it already, we can keep debating once it is already here.

The right time to praise Ravan is when he is lying wounded on the floor, waiting for his death.

At that time we can forget all his sins and omissions. Never before that.

It would be a pretty risky move. I still think inputs should be taken from all quarters first, some recommendations to be taken, some to be rejected and then it should be implemented. Maybe first a study should be conducted on Goa (where there's a UCC already) and all the advantages/disadvantages to be analyzed thoroughly. Surveys really help in such situations.

No worry. You stand in my place.
Why will I protest for something that I don't want. The onus is on you. Maybe you can hold a placard in front of your own Parliament House and make slogans of 'We want Hindu Rashtra!!!'. You'll certainly get media attention lol.

My point of view is, religious, non religious. Whatever. We must at least give these people a chance.
My effort is all about channeling the energy in safe direction.
Ager bomb bhi phatay tu nuksan na ho.
I know one rule. No matter how just and beautiful a cause is, if it fails to deliver justice to constituents, it disintegrates.
We will say 100 times that no it shouldn't. Hindutva guys will say no it will.
Meanwhile 100s and 1000s of lives will be affected.
Thus I created this thread, to accelerate the implementation of this idea.
May be we are wrong.
But if we are right then this idea will die a natural life.
Why don't you ask for a Pakistan with full sharia based laws btw? It would be an interesting experiment for us as well.

It'll be a no risk move if they do it.. controversial yes.. risky ? no, far from it. Maybe next year once the pandemic has been beaten.

apparently the Muslims have tried multiple times, and failed to try and codify their sharia thing into law here.. always lost  no other community has a problem as far as I know, make of that what you will. Someone mentioned this in passing, but I don't have the details.. you can try look it up if you want.

Nobody want sharia here.
