LAHORE – PTI chief Imran Khan on Tuesday said that there was no shortage of resources in Pakistan and that only good governance was needed to put the country on the road to progress.
Imran said this while talking to the party leaders during a meeting at his residence.

While claiming that PTI being the first party of the sub-continent, which held intra-party polls, Khan said that he along with his party workers would break the tradition of dynastic politics.
Imran claimed that PTI intra-party polls would provide the country a new leadership, besides thriving political tradition that had been overlooked by leaders of major political parties so far. He maintained that PTI would emerge as party of the masses and it would award tickets to those persons only who were elected by party parliamentary board on merit with substantial input from the district party organisations.
He maintained that all the party members would have to comply with the rules of party to create a new Pakistan under the tsunami of PTI.
PTI chief claimed that he would introduce a new local body system and purge the country of looters and swindlers.
Imran maintained that he was confident that the dream of a new Pakistan would come true in the result of the next general elections in which the masses would vote for change.
PTI president, Javed Hashmi citing groupings among the party ranks ahead of intra-party polls in Punjab has asked the party members on this occasion that they should maintain unity among their ranks and all party activists were their asset.

Does bringing in new leadership mean using old electable leadership to bring in new leadership that these old electable leaders would be willing to simply hand over power to???

I have no problem with most of the old people he brought in as they are clean. One of the few i hate and i have to mention here is Kurshid Kasuri. He maybe highly educated however, his previous actions in the government don't prove worth praising.

Firstly, just to give an example, he was involved in mega Corruption in the Railways sector. Secondly, he was the foreign minister under dictator General Musharraf. We all saw what he did. You name it: Giving innocent people to the U.S, including Dr. Afia Siddiqi, loosing Kashmir hope, etc, etc...

Not to mention, he and his wife run the Beacon House school system, a profitable private enterprise. Who in the righteous mind in Pakistan would pay $50,000 to send their kid? The fact of the matter is, this whole Kasuri family is rude, arrogant, an elite and coincidentally opportunists.

What amazes me is that this is true family politics. Fauzia Kasuri, a sister in law of his has been running the show before him. I say to the people of Pakistan to take the opportunity to boot them out. I hope Imran takes seriously in to this and brings truly new leadership.

Inshallah I have high hopes for Pakistan and Imran.

He might not be the best leader but at this point in time he is the best option to get us out of this mess.

Look at Pakistan's recent history. All its leaders, if you could call them that, were accidental. Musharraf, because his plane was not allowed to land, he became president. Zardari, because his wife died just before elections, so he became president.

If you have no selection criteria for country's top leadership, people will not respect their leaders and if they are accidental, their merit and qualification is also questionable.

Do you know what makes the best teams?
In every good team you need a few guys who are old and battle hardened who provide leadership and mentorship
and a whole bunch of young people who provide the energy, are competent, and keep the old guys in check.

That combo is extremely hard to beat.

He can,& don't need peoples voting for him,all he can do is to wait for grand-marshall-revolution,bt he must organize his party. Before!

What do you mean by grand-marshall-revolution?

I only beg to differ about Fauzia Kasuri...
