Imran orders restoration of previous naan, roti prices

Imran's unjust orders will lead to increased corruption in nan making business, result in making people sick, adding burden on health system of country.
People would endup paying more on doctor fees and medicine, this will increase poverty and also increase crime, which in turn will increase many other administrative costs.

Welcome to the donkey kingdoom.

Petrol (29th july 2019):

https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/gasoline_prices/

IND = 1.09 USD/L
PAK = 0.70 USD/L

=======

Natural Gas prices (for lowest consumption band - most recent available):

Pakistan - 121 Rs per MMBTU = 0.76 USD/MMBTU (next band above this is around 1.88 USD....so I dunno where the average for a typical private end-consumer would be - it depends on consumption)

http://www.ogra.org.pk/consumer-gas-prices

India pricing starts around 2.24 USD/MMBTU for natural gas.

Thanks really appreciate that. Amazing. That means Pakistani drivers pay just 64% of what they pay in India. And people are protesting in Pakistan. There is no good reason for that price to be same as India. That would mean doubling it almost. Think about the tax that would be raised?

IND = 1.09 USD/L [100%]
PAK = 0.70 USD/L [64%]

And yes if you can include BD as well. Thanks.

You can't look at it in isolation. The thing to consider is:

1. How many USD do people earn on average in Pakistan (and more importantly bands of income) .

2. How much you can actually buy with the average wage in USD in both countries.

I suspect that the income in India might be higher and/or people might be able to afford more.

I'm not sure though. Will need to Google stats. Might be completely wrong.

Body runs on food, not on petrol.
People who own cars can afford higher prices for fuel. But people who can hardly afford the daily bread need to be given relief.
You are funny. Body run on food but travel in buses, rickshaw ,taxi, train etc so increase in fuel mean increase in fare of public transport and even food cannot travel from one city to others without transportation

Just looked up BD. More or less the same prices found in India....gas used to be somewhat cheaper in BD than India, but they have recently hiked it by 33% to about the same or even little above the price in India (depending on your consumption level bracket) now.
