RAWALPINDI: A helicopter in which Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was traveling made an emergency landing near Adiala village, some 20 kilometres away from the Rawalpindi city area, on Saturday after developing some technical fault.

The PTI chairman, who was returning to the capital after addressing a public meeting at Dera Ismail Khan in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government-owned helicopter, was taken to his Banigala residence by a car amid tight security.

The car in which Mr Khan travelled to his home had been brought from the residence of Punjab Law Minister Basharat Raja.

There are conflicting views about the causes of the emergency landing as some police officials, who reached the spot after getting the news, claimed that the helicopter was forced to make the emergency landing due to “shortage of fuel” whereas another source in the police said that the helicopter had developed some mechanical fault.

Soon after the safe landing, the PTI chairman disembarked from the helicopter and started strolling on the ground. In the meantime, some villagers, mostly the young boys, gathered around him and started chat with him.

The PTI chairman was informed that he had landed in the constituency of former aviation minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan

Journalist Arshad Sharif's Analysis

Video Description:
Yet another emergency landing of Imran Khan's helicopter does not seem to be a co-incidence.. Is anyone in PTI looking at this? At least two members of Election Commission have been pressurized and threatened to disqualify Imran Khan in Tosha Khana case, so will we be seeing ECP giving a verdict against Imran Khan disqualifying him or referring the case to Islamabad High Court for disqualification? Also, DG ISPR is yet to disclose the number of gifts Army Chief's have received from their foreign visits and what was done with those gifts.. A meeting was held in FIA, directions given in the meeting were to arrest Imran Khan, more interesting is who held the meeting & will the PDM government arrest Imran Khan or will he finally announce his much awaited Long March on Islamabad?

Millions of Pakistanis must be worried on these "repeated technical problems" in Imran Khan's helicopter & wonder if these are just happening or these are being "caused"; we know this country is full of "powerful criminals" who can do anything to protect their interests! - Moeed Pirzada

"Millions of Pakistanis" have a funny way of showing it. Why don't they come out on the streets and actually do something?

. .
They are coming out, you can see that from the IK Jalsas, have you not seen how thousands flocked to Bani Gala to save IK two times when the traitors tried to arrest him?
Thousands is a very small number compared to millions. Also, I have mentioned time and time again, for the population of Pakistan, and for what happened, even a couple of million is pathetic. More people protest for things happening in other countries, or trivial things elssewhere in the world.
