What's new

Imran Khan Was The Darling of Us All Once.

.
You keep living in UK and worry about Brexit and rise of white nationalists we are happy with IK as our PM
May be you are right.!!! The problem is unfortunately i had developed an interest in Pak politics since my school days(45 years ago). Never missed reading every line of at least a dozen newspapers than.

.
FACT: Bhutto dynasty, Nawaz Sharif dynasty are bastard spawns of illigitimate military dictators who were selected by Ayub and Zia respectively. Yet Imran is called selected.
You are 100% right. They moved out but our hero moved in!!!!

And yet you failed to see what was visible to us all thanks but no thanks Pakistan will develop greatly and destroy all those who will hinder its progress

Every legend fails the test compared to expectations people placing on them. That is because our dreams and expectations always exceed the what real mortal humans can do. So it is with Imran Khan. He will fail our expectations.

But one thing I am 100% confident. He will still do better then what the alternatives Pakistan has like Bilawal Bhutto, Sharifs, Mullah Deisels etc. If anybody can establish that Pakistan right now under any of these alternatives would be better then it is under PMIK I will chew my words.

Unless you guys have a hidden Pakistani Erdogan, hidden Pakistani Mahatir living in Bahria, Lahore waiting for fate to knock at their door.

Two people look through the same bars one sees the mud and one the stars. I respect your opinion but feel otherwise.

Sharif has the most experience in Pakistan dealing with political matters internationally he is a guy of greatness and the most usable as he has seen his state taken over by two coups and he has also faced sanctions and he is also responsible for the great CPEC and making Pakistan an OBEC country.
Ooohh look a flying pig!!!!!

So when you looked through the bars in early 2018 did you see stars? And do you see stars when you look at Bhutto, Sharifs, Mullah Diesel?

great CPEC and making Pakistan an OBEC country.
I think that was Xi Jinping of China who dreamed that up and offered it to Pakistan. It had zilch to do with Nawaz.

I will not argue on this sore issue at the moment,it all depends on what news channel, whattsapp gp,twitter gp and facebook gp you follow. The nation is bitterly divided across the board.

Who made the infrastructure neccesary for Industrial development (Motorway)?
Nawaz. Credit given.

Who made Metro Train?
Nawaz.

3) Who remove the uncontrollable dengue virus versus the current gov.?
Insufficient info to make judgement.

) Who started CPEC?
Premier Xi Jinping. China.

Who said the "Fire the Nuke"?
Nawaz.

Over period of 35 years in poitical life i can only give him credit for the motorway projects. There is no doubt that had he not been the inspiration behind motorways Pakistan would be just about now entering motorway era as opposed to begining in 1992 and thanks to that we have elaborate, expanding network today. This will have lasting impact on Pakistan. No doubt about it.

The rest of the points you raised have limited import or any leader would have done the same. However this scorecard for 35 year political life is terrible. Imran Khan has been in power for one year yet you guys are crucifying him. I am 100% sure in another 10 years he will have managed to score a few bulleyes and certainly more then Nawaz did without looting the nation or buying apartments in London for his children at expense of Pakistani taxpayer.

To put things in perspective.

  • when Nawaz's took political office in mid 1980s I was young, freshy shaved man.
  • today I am a old, hair growing grey man with grown up children.
  • when Imran took over I was wearing my striped socks. Today I am still wearing the same socks.
And you want to compare the politcal legacy of both? 16 months towards 35 years? What is wrong with you man?

A good answer but i tend to differ slightly. Imran had all the opportunity to learn from his KPK govt for five years. As after 18th amendment the provinces have all the say apart from four ministries. Nawaz was the finance minister of Punjab a toothless portfolio in the early 80s. He became a powerless CM twice for couple of years each. In the 90s became PM twice for few years each. His real tenure for four years started in 2013 as a PM where some progress was seen. I think the 35 year taboo is a bit exaggerated as we had PPP and Musharraf in the mix as well.

True. But say what you want PMIK's tenure is flash in comparison to Nawaz's. You can slice and dice it as much as you want but that is a fact.

And even then his government is a weak coalition with all the problems that it entails and inheritated massive economic problems with historical budget deficits. Nawaz often got strong mandates.
