OUR STAFF REPORTER

LAHORE – Pakistan Tekree-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan on Saturday again targeted the rulers, claiming that corrupt people were running the affairs of the country and government.
Imran Khan, who was addressing an Iftar party hosted by party leader Ijaz Chaudhary, also alleged the government had appointed “a dishonest man to the office of the Auditor General to cover its corruption”.

He said, “The country is being run through criminals and all top offices of the State are being headed by criminal and corrupt people.” While announcing that the PTI will hold a public meeting at Minar-i-Pakistan on October 23 to bring a revolutionary change in the country, Imran said: “The kings of Raiwind will witness a wind of change in Lahore on October 23.”

He claimed, “Killers are hiding behind their political fronts in Karachi and how could these political parties protect the life and property of the people who are safeguarding the killers.” The PTI chief, while calling the PPP-led government a bunch of thieves, said that they have no faith in supremacy of law and that was the reason they avoid endorsing the orders of the Supreme Court.
Imran said: “I am not frustrated despite all the ills in the country, which are spread by the corrupt and inefficient rulers and I see light at the end of tunnel, while the people of this country, especially the youth should play their due role to bring a real change in Pakistan.”

He said that Allah Almighty has given a chance to this nation for bringing a revolutionary change in the shape of PTI and the masses should strengthen his party to get rid of the corrupt rulers in a bid to transform Pakistan into a real Islamic welfare state.
PTI chief while claiming that current ruling parties were safeguarding each other’s interests and said they could not change the lives of their electorate, while these corrupt elements could be defeated only through a people’s revolution.

He said that PTI would ensure provision of justice, employment, health and educations facilities in the country if it voted to power. Imran claimed that people from other countries would come to Pakistan for getting jobs, as the country would achieve the real targets of a developed nation during the rule of PTI. He said that the PTI would be the first political party, which would stop foreign assistance when it come to power and employ the policy of self reliance in letter and spirit. PTI leaders Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, Murad Raas, Ishtiaq Malik, Sadia Saif and others were also present on this occasion.

I tend to support PPP but I think PPP has become a status quo party.
I would say IF the Army has to intervene in Pakistan to install another 'civilian' setup then give Imran Khan a chance instead of bringing in 'imported' Prime Ministers like Shaukat Aziz who had no roots in Pakistan and vanished into thin air after occupying the highest office in Pakistan.
Imran may not be the most astute politician but is gutsy, honest, hard working and is not beholden to the status-quo forces. He will bring in a much needed clean up of the 'system'.

Shaukat Aziz was a astute banker, and that was the reason he was brought in, to get the economy up.

Yes, he would have been a good Finance Minister.
The Prime Minister represents popular will. The Prime Minister must be a person who can bring about political solutions to issues. Ultimately, all problems a nation faces have their solutions in 'politics' as much as we are made to hate 'politicians'.

What is the benefit of people of Pakistan in it....????
Let's talk on numbers, Imran khan is not going to get any seat from Karachi or Hyderabad or even from sindh province because of strong hold of MQM and PPP nor he will get any seats from bluchistan.
he may get some seat from Kheber Pakhtunkawa but not a upset
Lets come to PUNJAB he will get more seat from here than any other province and he will break the vote bank of PML-N
As the PPP has there fixed votes in pujab so ppp will not be effected much and on other hand ppp will get same number o seats from sindh. In mean while PML-N going to lose there seats and imran khan will not get so much seats to become PM so PPP again in GOVT for next 5 years

And No Change

what makes you think that he will break the vote bank of pml-n only and not ppp?

what makes you think that he will break the vote bank of pml-n only and not ppp?

because PPP in Punjab has vote bank in south pujab not a very developed part of Punjab and mostly have rural system or you can say wadera system so their vote is loyal to the party which they priviously vote wether it is PPP or Pml-Q.They are not going to change this trend and also PML-n is major party in Punjab so it will get effected in punjab
