Pakistan to blame for ‘bad blood’ with Afghanistan: Imran Khan

http://tribune.com.pk/story/1038256/pakistan-to-blame-for-bad-blood-with-afghanistan-imran-khan/

I am very sad that the relationship is not good and I am also sad to say that Pakistan is to blame. We did not have consistent policies dealing with Afghanistan and then the interference in the past in affairs of Afghans has caused a lot of bad blood,” he said.

Not a day goes by where we aren't blessed with pearls of wisdom by Imran Khan. It's truly amazing.

This guy seriously need to tape up his mouth and think ten time before speaking. This mouth is one of the reasons he will never be able to get to power. Now i am waiting for another UTURN by him of this issue which is utterly disgracefull for a leader.

Of course it was Pakistan that tried to block Afghanistan's accession to the UN, and did everything within in its power to instigate secceionist movements within Afghanistan.

I don't like commenting on domestic issues between pml n, pti, PPP etc because they are all choor to one extent or another, but insulting Pakistan like this at an international platform (voice of america) is disgusting, especially as we are facing the full flak of western media for our role in Afghanistan post soviet invasion, whereas western nations who were equally involved in this role (CIA for goodness sake) are completely ignored . The last thing we need is our own "leaders" joining this propaganda bandwagon of the west, whose purpose is to delegitimise Pakistan to such an extent, that it no longer is able to carry out actions which serve its own interests (in essense becoming a scared US lackey like many if not most other countries around the world). Shame on you Khan.

What about Afghan policies of interfering in Pakistan since 1951??
Someone should deport this half-Afghan Half-Mahajir back to Kabul!
chutya khan!

After Pakistan’s creation in 1947, Afghanistan objected to its admission to the United Nations. The Afghan government of the time decided not to recognize Pakistan as the legitimate inheritor of the territorial agreements reached with the British India. There were several ambiguous and often changing demands from Kabul centered around the aspirations—as Kabul saw it—of the Pashtun and Baluch ethnicities inside Pakistan. For intermittent periods between 1947 and 1973, Kabul extended support to Baluch and Pashtun nationalists inside Pakistan and even called for the creation of a new state called “Pashtunistan.” In 1973, Pakistan, grappling with territorial insecurities, resorted to extending support to Islamists dissidents that opposed Afghanistan’s Republican government of Sardar Daud. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s government created the “Afghan Cell” within Pakistan’s foreign office and assigned it a policy that included strengthening ties with and empowering Islamists in exile in Pakistan, and improving Pakistan’s influence over governments in Kabul.

Yes he spoke the truth but as usual he showcases that he is a foolish politician who doesn't know what to reveal and what to not. You don't come out and say that the issues between Pakistan and Afghanistan are the fault of Pakistan .. It makes us look bad especially coming from a politician who holds third highest number of seats in NA and second highest number of votes. In such a situation and complicated situation that goes above his head, he needs to be more silent and less revealing... USA barely reveals any interference and it took India 40 years to even accept that they supported Bangladesh insurgency mukti bahini.

Thus its the art of foreign policy and art of today's politics to know what to reveal and when...

Not smart by IK and he seriously needs to mature.

I think what he wanted to say is when devolved form of animals ruling afghanistan chosed to harbour another devolved animal; who performed huge attrocity of hijacking 4 civilian planes and crashing them into civilian populated buildings, pakistan should have sided with animals not humans

What a Fall from greatness, Once a Great Hero, now a Third Class Pathetic Politician.

He was known political puppet, right from the start, and now has met his inevitable end after he outlived his utility. Only fools were taken in by what he promised.
