That is not u-turn. That situation opened his eyes. He felt it was right to kill Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) because of the division started during that time. Hence GOD guided him to the truth because he was sincere who was not afraid to embrace the truth and when he heard the revelation, he knew immediately that indeed Holy Quran is from ALLAH.

He was the most honest man after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The same honest man that sent shiver to the shaitans which to the point whenever the shaitans come across the honest man, they take different routes just to avoid him.

You cannot compare the honest man to the joker who does u-turn all the times and most of times for fun.
yup still U-turn he did.... he wanted to kill the prophet and end up being his companion... Quaid-e-Azam from advocate of hindu muslim unity to demanding Pakistan was a U-turn.... ... that's not a comparison buddy thats an example to follow...

In France we have an expression : il n'y a que les imbéciles qui ne changent pas d'avis.

"There are Only stupid people who don't change their mind."

Again, not the same. He intended to kill him (PBUH) but GOD guided him to the truth as he heard the revelation which forever changed his life. Bear in mind, he even slapped his sister - that is how it came to the situation. The same man promised to highlight the truth of Islam in the spots where he oppressed brothers of Islam in person, and he instantly did it on the very those spots and even quarreled against oppressors for it. That shows he is man of the words. It is matter of the situation but the intention remains the same.

Whereas for u-turn, the fine example would be Quresh tribe who offered peace treaty with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his community but intended to betray them and indeed they did betray them; deliberate and conceit. Fine example of u-turn. You promise one thing but you intend to do the opposite blatantly.

We have to keep in mind that Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (R.A) never wanted powers but he would defend Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Islam to 100% no matter what. He would never compromise the principles although he would tones his aggressive stances since that scared most of Muslims. Most importantly, the leadership was forced upon him, and his honesty came to the rescue as the peace treaty with Baghdad was finalized because the natives in Baghdad majority were Christians believed him because he was the man of the words by the reputation.

Whereas for Imran Khan, he wanted powers from the beginning. He even compromised for it. U-turned all of his political ideology to make his dream come true [powers]. Gave promise not to cross red zone but yet he did in one of dharnas. U-turn decisions from the peace treaty to the appointment of economical advisor leaves the whole nation in confused and divided at the worst possible time. Hardly the responsible man in terms of marriage either which to the extent even refused to acknowledge the kid born out of wedlock - from his illegal affair.

He would rather choose powers over the acknowledgement of his kid, to the extent even married that woman believed to be good omen [promotion of PM]. This guy is opportunist at best; u-turn, joker, irresponsible, immature, and most of all, the sin of shirk as he may have indirectly committed the shirk in the Darbar.

He mentioned Hitler and Napoleon, not because they are his "favorites" but because both didn't take U-turn on their fatal decision to invade mighty Russia.
But since you Bhutwaris have neither the capability nor mental strength to understand this wisdom, it's better to continue your propaganda.
I am nor Patwari nor PTIan but i follow him
