The ruling PTI's candidate from Sialkot's NA-75 constituency has been requested to ask for re-polling in the Daska by-election by Prime Minister Imran Khan as the Opposition parties have been "crying hoarse over" it.

The Daska fiasco that made headlines last week had left at least two people dead and two others injured as clashes had broken out between workers of the ruling PTI and PML-N, leading to a firing incident in which three individuals were wounded initially.

Two of them had succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital.

"Have always struggled for fair & free elections," PM Imran Khan said on Twitter on Monday, saying he did so "even though there is no legal compulsion to do so before ECP announces results, I would request our PTI candidate to ask for re-polling in the 20 polling stations Opposition is crying hoarse over in the Daska NA 75 bye- election."

"It is because we want transparency that we are seeking open ballot for Senate elections. We will always seek to strengthen a fair and free election process. Unfortunately others lack this commitment. When we wanted 4 constituencies opened after the 2013 elections, it took us over two years."

Opposition are in shock.
Great move by the PM. Now throw full party resources behind securing the seat. It'll be a major political victory for years to come.

The sad fact is Pakistan is too divided. Because of this the establishment is too weak. This is obvious as right now you have a popular leader with international reputation with trhe army backing him him 100%. The fast way of sorting out Pakistan's future is Khan/Bajwa combo do what they did in Turkey in 1980s.

Just arrest 100 senior dirty politicians from across the spectrum. Hang them. Arrest another 1000 and give them 5 years in prisons and then release them on licence. One wrong move and back in prison for another 5 years.

Arrest another 10,000 and sent them to re-education camps where hard labour with redemption training is practiced.

Public will believe any story if you lie long enough. Opposition has long experience in this department.

Remember Maryam Nani is PTI's ambassador in opposition's camp. PM Imran Khan has long ago declared her woman of the series 🥳

I can only say this, it was very stupid of Nawaz to hand over the party to Maryam, like really stupid. She has 0 sense on how to do politics, gets played in the hands of PPP, gets played by Maulana, gets played by any and everyone. It's time that leadership of PMLN sideline this retarded woman and follow Shehbaz, but I doubt that well happen since the retards instead of diversifying their portfolio invested all in this retarded nani karnani. Things seem noisy now, but PMLN will pay heavily when the dust settles because of this retarded woman.

Everyone keeps crying about the establishment,, but the whole problem is that our establishment isn't strong enough to defend Pakistan and our national interests

Hang a thousand of the traitors,
Lock up all the idiots creating fassad
Soak up the international pressure
Reap the benefits for transforming Pakistan

But our establishment is useless they sit by whilst being attacked, ridiculed, made to seem like the reason for our political parties corruption

What we need is a China-esq PURGE of the corrupt

Because the risks of PMLN and PPP, ANP, PTM are too great

You know your honestly right. The real tragedy of Pakistan is it get's the worse deal going. Earlier in trhe day I was watching that Pakistam hater Christian Fair taking part in this conferance in India talking about the Balakot incident. Pakistan was painted as a brutal military dictatorship that would make Nazi Germans blush. One Indian spoke of the Pakistani media being controlled by DGISPR. And how Indian media was so critical it it made the job of Indian military difficult. Then he went on to describe India as a liberal democracy.

From my personal perspective I would say British media is tame compared to Pak media. Dawn, Tribune etc just carry article after article that go out of their way to lambast the government. Indian media from what I have seen are just Modi's private guard dogs that bark and bite at the behest of their boss.

Yes. contrary to what has been painted unforuntately and I say that because I wish the establishment was strong like in Turkey that way at least issues would be sorted out. But the reason Pakistan establishment is weak are down to the regions and demography that is held together loosely.

Any government in Pakistan stands atop a very unstable federation. You got to keep a eye on rural Sind, a eye on Karachi, a eye on Balochistan, a eye on erstwhile FATA, a eye on various radic al religous groups in Punjab like TLP etc. If a government pushes to hard the danger is any one of these loose groups could begin to unite. Alone they might not be able to anything but if they start togather no government Pakistan even with military support will stay in power for long. We saw what happened to Musharaf in 2008.

So how do some countries like Turkey have such strong establishments? Well simple. The power base of those countries are very homogenous. So think of Pakistan Army. 700,000 men. Where are they mostly recruited from? I would say Potohar plateau is the ground zero with neighbouring districts. Now I want you to think if Pakistan was just that region.

In this case the country would be very homogenous. The army could practically have iron grip on the population. This is what Turkey is like. Pakistan instead is so divided, diverse with groups pushing in opposite directions and it makes for a wild, unstable structure.
