Personally, I am more concerned with the affairs of Somalia and Yemen than BD.

They are closer to us geographically, politically, and culturally also.

Certainly hope so. Bear no ill will for the country as is the case with most Pakistanis. However these constant "we are bigger than you" threads have effectively turned opinion against Bangladesh on this forum for example, not only from Pakistanis but also Indians and Sri Lankans.

Perfectly summarized what this sub forum is like these days, TBF it was just like this with the Indians few years ago thankfully some have matured.. You need to understand starting at the bottom of the barrel any success is over exemplified, With more development will come more humility.. Hopefully

actually this sub forum was continuous troll section toward Bangladeshis before 2013 as I was monitoring the forum for 2 years before joining. What changed now is lots of Bangladeshis has started to join and started trolling back.
If you see, many personal attack, or abusive words used by Pakistani members as well as many Indian members over the years.
But If you check no Bangladeshis are using personal or very abusive attacks on any party even though they are trolling.

The problem with Bangladeshis in this forum is that they are not realising that they have only one product I.e., textiles, now tell me once the quota was imposed what they gonna do, their exports will take a nose dive.

Majority of Bangladeshi textile workers are woman and on average 20 to 30 cents a day, no wonder the common people are still not bearing any fruits.

Well it is due to rising cost in India many Indian companies are outsourcing IT related work to Bangladesh. Bangladesh aim to earn 5 billion USD from IT by 2021, within next few year overtake leather goods as the 2nd largest revenue generating source and by 2030 the largest revenue generating source overtaking RMG.

Bangladesh is training 1 million youth with IT skills including from village and sub district level for free so that they can start earning as free lancer. Making a number of IT parks to generate more employment and foreign investment in the IT sector.

It is understandable to an extent given that there was not much to celebrate about for a long time but at the same time Bangladesh is not tiny Bhutan or Uganda, especially now when it has been growing impressively. Is the behavior of the Bangladeshi cricket players in Sri Lanka (Nagin dance, breaking dressing-room glass in celebration etc) reflective of wider Bangladeshi society? I do not like generalizing as Pakistanis themselves are subject to this menace as well, but the behavior of some Bangladeshis on this forum certainly suggests that many struggle to control their emotions when good news emerges.

Pakistanis and Indians despite being the worst of rivals as the whole world knows do not engage in such behavior when meeting each other (https://www.sportswallah.com/cricke...akistan-clash-amidst-political-controversies/), so what is making Bangladeshi players act this way. There are most certainly issues relating to identity and self-belief on display here in my opinion. I hope that with continued strong growth Bangladesh grows in confidence and humility, as a successful and responsible Bangladesh can help normalize the situation in South Asia, and by growing strongly it will encourage other neighboring countries to play catch up, being a win-win for everyone.
