This may well be true but no one has confirmed it, Brig Mohammad Yousaf in his book "The Bear Trap" stated that the ISI planned and organised sucessful missions against Soviet positions beyond Amu Darya, I believe in Uzbekistan, the Soviets were outraged as perhaps one can understand and threatened severe consequences. Did SSG participate in these raids, your guess is as good as mine.kudos
