If states want UP migrant workers back they have to seek our permission: Yogi Adityanath

Any state which wants migrant workers of Uttar Pradesh back, has to seek permission from the state government and need to ensure their socio-legal-monetary rights, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday.
Upset that migrant labourers were “not properly taken care of” by various states in wake of the coronavirus-triggered lockdown, Adityanath said, “These workers are our biggest resource and will give them employment in Uttar Pradesh as state government is going to set up a commission for their employment.” “They are our people… and if some states want them back, they have to seek permission from the state government,” Adityanath said in an interaction with the RSS- affiliated publications ‘Panchjanya’ and ‘Organiser’.

As per feedback received from migrant workers who reached Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath said safeguarding their rights should get utmost attention and importance. “All migrant workers are being registered and their skills mapped. Any state or entity interested in inviting migrant workers will need to assure and provide for their socio-legal-monetary rights,” he said.

About the commission, Adityanath said it has been proposed to look into various factors associated with migrant workers’ rights and to prevent exploitation while providing an official framework to ensure socio-economic-legal support for them. “Insurance, social security, re-employment assistance, provision for unemployment allowance etc are some of the factors which will be looked into by the commission,” he said.

So far, over 23 lakh of migrant workers have returned to Uttar Pradesh by the efforts of the state government, Uttar Pradesh chief minister said, adding, “75 per cent of those who came from Mumbai and 50 per cent from Delhi were tested positive for “coronavirus”. He said that by next week, all migrant labourers who want to come back to Uttar Pradesh, will reach the state and every necessary arrangement for their screening and onward journey to their final destinations have been made.

Adityanath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “effectively handling the coronavirus crisis”, and said that India is in secured position due to the timely decisions taken by the government at the Centre. Credit should be given to PM Modi, he kept on guiding the chief ministers, he said. About generating new employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath said a German company is shifting its production facility from China to India and may start manufacturing more than 30 lakh shoes in Agra.

UP govt is successful in containing corona spread despite 20 crore population , unexpected influx of migrating labour is also being monitored by officers day and night .

. .
Sounds ridiculous.

Government is now going dictate which private firms can hire whom?

this is just for monitoring and maintaining order for control of spread of pandemic corona virus . large movement of humans is causing spread of corona .

. . . .
The UPites have been insulted and must not now seek pastures far away for work.

Yogi can save India from civil war.

You recognize the Hindi word 'Abhimaan'? Aditya Babaji is showing 'Abhimaan' and he won't spare any of his destitute laborers to needy states for labor. Good- they are in his Hefazat for food and housing. Fine and dandy. Keep your cow-belters.

But honestly I don't think any State in India is desperate to get these UP laborers back.

Small Anecdote.

UP and Bihari workers were being returned using West Bengal State Bus Transport a few weeks ago FOR FREE. Not only did these ingrate laborers not appreciate this favor in the times we live in today, they moreover beat up these bus drivers, who were risking their lives driving these laborers back to UP.

Most states in India (certainly WB, but also TN, Kerala and Karnataka) no longer want any UP or Bihar citizens (generally Hindi speaking cow-belters) migrating to their states for work.

I don't know if you understand Bengali - but listen and hope you can make out a few things, People in WB are hopping mad at these reckless Cow-belter laborer behavior.

But honestly I don't think any State in India is desperate to get these UP/Bihari laborers back. the disruption on local law and order to wherever they migrate (Southern States, WB even Maharashtra) is too much.

Small Anecdote.

Post Covid-19 lockdowns, UP and Bihari workers were being returned to their states, past WB borders, using West Bengal State Bus Transport a few weeks ago FOR FREE. Mind you, FREE.

You should be thanking him man without the elaborate explanation.

It's not hidden from the world what happens in India.

no doubt he is very strict and dead honest , very labourious . no relative is allowed in his house . but brahmins will not let him get post of PM .

they will manage .
Caste politics are declining in India,Dharma vs Adharma (Hindutva Vs Abrahamics). Yogi is right man for the post,he will become PM definitely if many agree or not.
