Let us make some sane discussion in this topic.

1- Khalistan movement is not going to materialize at any point of time. The reason is both social,political and economics.
2- Socially Sikhs people are more integrated with Hindus than that of the Muslims in India...Hindus and Sikhs particialte in each others religious activity so the animosity between 2 communities is technically nothing between us. Otherwise, BJP would never dare to even allign with Akalis who are strong Sikh based party in Punjab.
3- Sikhs are one of the few races who are most patriotic and nationalistic people in India...People views Sikh people in particular as symbol of Indian patriotism as they have a vey high number in Indian Army.
4- Economically Khalistan is surrounded by Pakistan and India. If also they gets separated, it does not have enough resources to be resourceful enough to conduct itself as an individual nation.

So in that sense, i think, Khalistan movement is not going to be successful in India..Fringe elements exists in each separatist movement. But that does not mean, they are going to be successful.

If by putting bets, international events and geography gets changed, then things could have been different...As i stated in my earlier post, Kashmir and Khalistan is a different issue. India does not have a support base in Kashmir valley which is not the case in Punjab..So the situation and enviroment is different...

Anyway, Pakistan tried in 1980....Another Sikh police officer named KPS Gill just ruthlessly crushed Khalistan millitancy that it could not take shape again...You can try it again...It is your choice..
