If China Were To Attack India: Why 2020 Won't Be Like 1962

. . .
Gap betweeN India and China is far greater than in 62. Indias economy was same if not greater than Chinas economy in 62 and had better military but Chinese overwhelmed them with bravery. Now Chinas economy is 5x bigger than Indias and have much better weapons. India wouldn't last a week and they would surrender. Worst comes to worst, China just blocks indias water supply and turn India into a desert. Game over.

No way India's military was better than China's in 1962. Economically they were similar but militarily, China always held the upper edge. You are forgetting that the Chinese had fought in Tibet for a decade, Korea, the Chinese Civil War, and against the Japanese prior. The most the Indians had was fighting against Pakistan in 1947, where they got their arses handed to them. Combine that with Chinese experience in mountain/high altitude warfare and you can easily see that the Indians were no match.
The only difference is that this time, China will only stop after Delhi is captured instead of at northern Assam.

It'll probably be even worse. In 1962, China was probably even slightly poorer and less developed than India.
In, 1962 India was a pacifist nation built in Gandhian ideology and strategic

But 1962 war changed everything and in 67, India gave China a bloody nose where 100s of Chinese soldiers lost their lives.

In 2020, India is full blooded Hindutva nation which will eat you alive.

First capture tiny island called Taiwan then dream up capturing Delhi. :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

Aah yes ... the "heroic" battle invented by Indian keyboard warriors on Wikipedia. No one can forget the selfless deeds of these heroic patriots who dedicated a couple hours of their lives to conjure up this victory :enjoy: .

I don't like these keyboard fights because they are useless but India is far weaker in every score than China. We are talking about the largest industrialized power today with a fully mobilized population using cutting edge technology with a poorly organized and far poorly trained and equipped military of a far poorer country. Unless India's fundamentals change significantly in the future, the gap will likely only grow wider.

You are talking to delusional people who believe they invented the internet 9000 years ago and that cow piss cures corona. What more do you expect than for them to say India supa powa?

A bullet doesn't make any difference in piercing between industrial or non-industrial backside.

I hope Chinese single child soldiers are willing to die on the cold peaks of Ladakh.

My brain literally hurts when I watch certain Indian media. Facts don't matter apparently.

Industrial power comes into the equation when it is protracted war and one side is quickly able to produce to replenish losses. The reality is that China cannot project enough force to overwhelm an entrenched defensive India - not in the air, not on the ground and not at sea.
The Himalayas won't allow it - mobilizing the amount of equipment and personnel needed to overwhelm India over the Himalayas is not possible. Long range attack, with missiles, rockets and artillery sure but these won't win China battles.

Sure if China can mass in Pakistan and open another front in the west the equation changes dramatically.
