If China lands on the moon , will that be part of china?

I am curious when the Chinese are going to moon ? I know Americans sold their shuttle to pawn shop due to security flaws , so only Chinese can visit the moon , and if they decide to use it for industrial purpose ?

When is China making the lunar trip ?

Before Russians made trips to moon , and Americans did and they decided they like to go home, but Chinese once they build a base we know there is always a little china town - and what are the chances for a permenent lunar base I know it sounds strange but Can China actually build a lunar base on moon ??? As it will have the technology to travel to moon .... US is still building

China is planning to go on moon wheres USA is going straight to MARS!!!! :woot: :usflag:

every top, dick or harry can go to moon, but let's see who go to mars first!!!! :D

Obama is being an idiot for not wanting to go back to the moon. He is a moron. :usflag: Hamas endorsed him.

"Once an infrastructure is constructed it would be better on Mars, and here is why.

First, in terms of energy it is easier to get to and land on Mars because the martian atmosphere assists in slowing any vehicle trying to land on it. That more than compensates for the additional original velocity needed to get to the vicinity of Mars versus the moon.

Second, Mars is much further out from the sun, and it is much easier to get to the outer planets from there (the velocity changes required are much smaller). Or, to put it another way, Mars is further up the gravitational hill created by the gravity of the sun.

Third, because Mars has water, rocket fuel (hydrogen and oxygen) could be manufactured on-site. Water ice is theorized to be present at the poles of the moon, but none has been demonstrated thus far.

And, last, the equatorial speed of rotation of Mars is about 880 km/hr, which would add that much velocity to a rocket launched from there. The equatorial speed of the rotation of the moon is less than 16 km/hr, adding virtually nothing to the velocity of a launched space vessel."

India has already planted a flag on the moon through Chandrayaan-I mission.

its pointless to go back to the moon, the money could be spend to go to mars.

I think you guys underestimate the how difficult it would be for a manned mission to mars.

The previous moon missions lasted a couple of days - the trip to mars alone takes 6 months at the shortest.
After that it takes almost another 18 months for Mars to get into the same relative position to Earth to take that 6 month return journey. That's 2 and a half years in total.

Any number of problems can arise during that time and there would be absolutely jack-all that you could do about it because of the time and distances involved.

The problems could also be biological i.e. Disease, medical condition, radiation exposure due to solar flares and cosmic radiation, bone and muscle deterioration due to low gravity, psychological problems such as cabin fever etc.

Finally, in any manned mars project, it would be logical to test any new spacecraft, technology, and practice any program plans by going back to the moon first and staying there for a prolonged time to make sure it's even feasible. At least then if anything unforeseen happens you can cut and run home relatively quickly.

I have seen an advertisement in yesterdays Sunday's newspaper about "land for sale" in Pluto. Hoping to buy few acres to start few industries there and sell the products to the people of Neptune and Uranus.
